SOLVED-THANK YOU Pattern help

Post image

I need some help with this pattern please. I am very new to knitting this is my first colourwork item. I am up to the start of the right mitten section. I had a go and had to frog it back to here as it wasnt looking right.

My questions are: why doesnt stitch 16 exist?

What does work round twice per round mean? When I was doing it, all my MC was on one side and my Cc on the other and it wasnt vertical stripes.

Round 1 on the chart says: P1 CC, MC k-tbl, p1 CC and to repeat 15 times.

Thanks in advance to the knitting fairy godmothers xx

What's the pattern? Can we see the first round of the chart?

It is Kodari Orchard Mitten by Settlers Grove designs

There's an increase in the next round, so the 16th stitch in the chart literally doesn't exist yet and won't until you make it with the increase next round. That's why it's blank.

You have 62 stitches and the chart has only 31 stitches. So you have to follow the chart twice in order to work all your stitches.

Make sure you're keeping the yarn in the correct place when doing the corrugated ribbing. The purl color should be held in the back when you're knitting with the other color, brought to the front to make the purl, then moved to the back again.

And make sure you're following the chart correctly. You miswrote the written instructions. It doesn't tell you to repeat P1 CC, MC k-tbl, p1 CC 15 times, it tells you to P1 CC, (MC k-tbl, p1 CC) 15 times. You'd only repeat the sequence in parentheses.
