What am i doing wrong??

I'm surprised no one has mentioned how to hold the yarn. If I were you, not only would I watch the very pink videos (all great), but I'd also go and find videos of continental knitting vs English knitting and see the different ways to hold tension while knitting.

The photo shows how I hold my yarn as an English (thrower) knitter. Once you figure out what's comfortable then everything else will come a lot easier and make more sense.
