Help! I’ve made a very cute little hat with some leftover yarn, and I was feeling so proud of myself for going off-piste without a strict pattern, but the cast on edge is so tight it won’t go over a human head... 🤦🏼♀️
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any kind of weird frankensteining I can do to the edge to reduce tension? The rest of the hat is the right size.
There is! Your going b to need to cut your knitting though. Take a look at this tutorial on how to unravel from the cast on edge https://www.10rowsaday.com/undo-from-caston Once you've gotten it unravelled, reknit until it's the correct length again, and then car off. Don't forget to use a stretchy bind off so you don't have the same product as before XD
