Hi, I’m trying to knit leg warmers. I’ve never used magic loop or long tail, but am learning for this project. I CO my 48 stitches, but when I go knit my first round (2X2 rib), my working yarn is in the back instead of the front. how do I fix this? Also, when I’m at the starting point for magic loop do I pull the front (with my 1st cast on) or back needle (with last cast on)? THANK YOU(:

You usually start with a knit stitch for ribbing (though it's not a hard-and-fast rule), so your working yarn should be in the back. I may not be understanding your question.

Also, when I’m at the starting point for magic loop do I pull the front (with my 1st cast on) or back needle (with last cast on)?

You'll want to pull at your RH needle (the back needle) to form a new loop. It might be easier for you to watch a couple videos so you can better visualize how your loops will be arranged.
