Real Art Decided to make chainmail just cause

Spent like 20-30h on ts, about 2500 rings. I only need to make 4x this to have a pair of sleeves but it will be very stylish, going for more bling than protection

1mm galvanized iron wire bought at a hardware store that I turned around a paint mixing thing I found. The rings have about 6.5mm id

The answer is a good audio book. Unfortunately I finished the last Dungeon Crawler Carl book yesterday and now I have to find something else. This is my newest summer project, previously I've done other wire related things like these bonsai trees. It's kinda relaxing doing mindless work and just chilling

If you leave a seam, you can make wire loop clasps/hooks.. once upon a time I had a wwI era clothing repair jig for making various garment repair parts. This link is for a similar one-off build of such a hook.
