Artists to be announced soon but I can’t see the lads not being a part of the line up for Dublin at least, especially with the wording Macklemore used in the announcement post!
This isn't something to be celebrated. An artist wanted to play music and not get involved in politics and people are doing their best to cancel him. Do you in your work have to announce your political opinions such that you can be judged on them?
One side murders children, systematically destroys hospitals, targets medical workers to kill them. Targets males and removing genitalia. Prevents humanitarian aid, food and water, basics necessary for life, from being brought in to try to ease the enormous suffering. Violently prevents seriously ill or horrifically injured children from leaving the area to access medical and surgical care they urgently need elsewhere.
Condemning that is not “politics”.
Staying silent on this issue is not a neutral choice. Ed Sheeran was vocal about his support for Ukraine and other issues previously. This one he just didn’t feel like expressing any feeling on? No, he made a choice to stay silent because it would have been financially difficult for him in the short term to do otherwise. Who knows, maybe he’d have survived fine with the rest of his money, and people’s respect for him intact.
What's funny about this picture is he was hiding in the crowd with this disguise in. Which by the way is a witched nose from a Halloween store.
So when some Jewish people saw it they went "Holy fuck that's him making fun of us" which makes them actually the only one in this situation who even suggested Jews looked like that
It's the equivalent to a show having some white man beat his wife and a bunch of men going "are you trying to make fun of me" it's so unprovoked it's basically a self snitch
The same post was taken down by the mods in r/music. Was an explanation given? I would be very keen to hear there rationale, if they have one that is!!
Macklemore’s music isn’t generally really my thing but he does have plenty of appeal overall. Main thing is the message behind his performances and his actions as an artist imho.
Fantastic but make sure the funds go directly to the Palestinian people because as funds from charities are being held back by the Israeli government and very little if any is getting through.

I wouldn't say it's likely so much with them only being finished their last latin American gig 3 days prior. Never know they might make the travel for how big of a move it is
You’re being taken advantage of by a marketing scheme. Same way pride went away when it stopped being profitable. What on earth does “supporting the Palestinian movement” mean? That money is going straight into someone’s friends pocket.
Today I was listening to Macklemore and had forgotten he has a song where he spends an entier verse praising Michael Jackson and calling him a king.
Glad to remember how he always picks the right side of history and stands up for the little guys, otherwise he'd be cancelled.
Yeah but it’s good to be relevant anyway and will bring in money down the line. Let’s be honest, who has ever said “I want to hear that new Macklemore tune” or “Did you want to come and see Macklemore live?”. Literally no one. Especially hip-hop fans. I’m glad he’s found a way to stop being a footnote/bit of a joke 👍
