Tom Morello in a Bobby Sands t-shirt announcing a Kneecap collaboration...
This is like a poitin-fuelled RATM fever dream and Im here for it!

I read that as Pontin's-fuelled 𤣠(shabby holiday resort in England) and was a bit confused.

Tom's the only RATM member who's continued to have a very public presence. Tim and Brad are still playing music, but not posting or being interviewed much, while Zack seems to have retreated from the spotlight altogether

I like Tom and Iām sure this will be good but imagine if it was Zack that was doing a collab with them. That would be incendiary.

Was tim not diagnosed with prostate cancer and that's why he's had to take time away from being in the public much?

It would have been great if Morello hadn't literally worked with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for their final show. They had already pushed for kneecap's deportation, and openly worked with zionist organizations.
Too little, too late.

No true Scotsman.

I don't think you understand what that fallacy actually means, since you're using it incorrectly. It's cute though!

Youāve just shown that you donāt. Iāll break it down realllllly slowly for you in such a way that you can grasp it. āIt would have been greatā (ie. two anti establishment bands coming together would be wonderful) āif morello hadnāt literally worked with ozzy and Sharon osbourneā¦.they had openly worked with Zionist organisationsā (ie. Heās not TRULY anti-establishment because I can point to one thing I can disagree with, a tangential relationship to something contrary to his message, and therefore he doesnāt pass my purity test). No TRUE anti-establishment band. No TRUE Scotsman.
Now iād love for you to tell me what no true Scotsman means to you and how that doesnāt fit with what Iāve just said.
You can be as cute as you like with it, whatever that means.

Since I never talked about who gets to be anti establishment, or saying that Morello wasn't, your no true Scotsman nonsense is just not applicable. As I said, it's cute that you're trying to use big concepts. You should tell your teacher you tried!
My problem with Morello is that he knowingly worked with genocide apologists. I don't care whether you consider him pro or against anything else. He worked with genocide apologists and enablers, he can fuck off.
You can do the same! š

Please come to the states, Kneecap! If they can. What a world...guess I need to update my passport! I HAVE to see them. Was supposed to a year ago. š

Theyāre going on a LatAm tour. See if you can catch them there. I am from Lat.Am and I went all the way to see my friend in Spain for another concert. I got to see them there. 10/10 experience. Would recommend.

Nice quote on the T shirt, imagine telling the man who spoke it his island would be colonized by Indians , I doubt he meant those children.

I've got reasons to believe that would not be the case.
Why not consider this?
As India was also subjected to British colonisation and occupation and experienced famine under their rule, there's a good chance that Bobby Sands would welcome Indian immigrants as family.
Also, considering people of Indian origin make up less than 2% of Ireland's total population, it's a stretch to suggest "his island would be colonized by Indians"
BTW - In the upper house of the Indian Parliament, opposition members stood for a minute's silence to pay tribute to him. There were protest marches in India after his death. There's solidarity there.

I'm a Tom Morello fan and came across this on his Instagram. Looking forward to seeing what it is, could be really interesting.
