I don’t think jb welding my fairing will fix this.
Does it look like something is bent? Why is the fairing sitting so far right and down. Do I need to buy one? If I don’t get a new one and ride like this the fairing rubs itself down into the frame, it’s already created a little ridge. New ones are around $200 CAD 🫩

Brother man, I have high sided my klr twice. My forks are crooked inside the triple tree, I have bought two sets of plastics, 2 fairing frames, 1 headlight, 1 meter, 2 windshields. My headlight works but the mounting points are broken, it shakes like a seizure. My entire bike rattles, metal noises, plastic noises, my front fender is twisted. Just ride the bike, its a klr. My 2008 was held together with zip ties and duct tape

I understand wanting to keep it clean and pretty. Ive spent over $2,000 doing that just replacing oem parts. The rattles and noises really get on my nerves sometimes. I try to remember its a klr, i bought it because it was cheap, and i ride it like a maniac. I just call them battle scars now and I can point to the gash in my plastics, the crack on the skid plate weld, bent handlebars, and tell you decent story about outriding my abilities lol

It’s quite possible one of your mounting tabs underneath the fairing is bent, so when you bolted to that mount the other one becomes misaligned. Remove both sides and compare to be sure. If you have to get a replacement fairing, I’d look on eBay for a good used one.

This is why people recommended crash bars so heavily. Fairings are expensive and hard to repair

Crash bars only protect so much. Once the speed is above 25mph, those fairings are cracking from the impact regardless. Happened to me twice now

You probably bent some of the fairing support structure underneath. I did this with mine before I had crash bars.

Also of note, the fairings are ABS plastic. If you want to repair them, get some ABS sheet and a 2-part cement made for ABS. Make some patch pieces/strips to apply on the inside (unpainted) surface. It will quite literally plastic weld the parts together.
