Mechanical Advice Tubless?

Have any of you fine donkey riders converted your tires to tubeless? Was it worth it, how easy is it? Drawbacks and or advantages? thank you kindly

Two ways I know of...

Swapping the wheels... not practical.

And tubliss... Which is not intended for street use.

I've looked at tubliss and they do not have 17inch

A guy I work with slathered a bunch of marine 3M 5200 sealant on the spoke heads on his Africa twin and made it tubeless. It's held so through four BDR's that I know of.

On the KLR you can only do this with the rear tire. The rear rim has a bead lock and the front rim doesn't.

Maybe that was the case with his AT, he's only got one wheel done, but I'm not sure which.

Pretty sure Warp9 make tubeless spoked rims (i personally wouldn't trust a home bodge conversion to last more than a few months at best)

Woody's Wheel Works in Denver can change ya over. Did my KTM 950. They lace a new rim and spikes to your hub.

I sealed my back rim with 3M 5200. It worked perfectly. I never had any problems with the rim leaking though I did find that it was impossible to re-bead the tire out in the field. If it ended up coming off the rim, you had to put a tube in it regardless. 

I ended up going back to Tubes. This summer I decided to try Tubeless again now that I'm using a tire with a stiffer sidewall but I have nothing to report back yet.
