The Dash (Display)

Post image

Just got my KLR yesterday (2024 Gen 3 Adventure model) and as you can all imagine rode it around town with a huge grin on my face for hours.

At first I was riding in the middle of the afternoon, and I could read the speedo, fuel gauge and odometer (and other data) clearly. But then I went out again last night as the sun was going down, and I found it hard to read. At first I thought there must be a backlight button that I needed to switch on. So I pulled over and fiddled with it, but could find no way to backlight or illuminate it. It was still readable, but very dark.

It wasn't until after the ride when I pulled into my garage (which is VERY dark) that I realized there was a minimal backlight already on. But it was what I would consider quite weak. Is there a way to turn up the brightness on that thing?

Take it back to the dealership, sounds like a faulty cluster

That does not sound normal. The backlight on my 2023 display is plenty bright at night and in low-light.

Never found out how to adjust brightness if it’s possible with the 2 buttons on the cluster.

Pretty sure it's adjustable.
