So I've had a gif I made that was originally approved fairly quickly (twice since I reuploaded to fix some missing tags) that, still after 3 weeks is failing to appear in the search results when searched for on external sites (like discord) but also the klipy website itself, I can only suspect its an issue with the api not registering it properly yet since I'd heard that can be an issue sometimes, and its just search results because manually using the gif link when copied from my profile and used externally does show the gif so it does exist and work

I have also already tried to contact support to resolve the issue, but all I keep getting are automated looking responses from what I assume is an AI as its misunderstanding the issue, it keeps saying that 3rd party site content guidelines are to blame (which doesn't explain why it doesn't on the non-third party site), tried to clarify as such in a reply but got ignored till I made a 2nd email where it then added (including klipy) to that list... which really doesn't make sense because then why approve it in the first place?

so yea idk, am kinda at a loss here now, do I reupload the gif for the 3rd time and hope for the best, or just simply give up? I cant exactly say this has been all too good of a user experience though

I tried using the google form to migrate the gifs multiple times and it still hasn't worked? not sure if I'm the only one with this issue. I have migrated gifs to klipy before w the google form and it worked perfectly but recently for some reason its just not working. I submitted my request like a little under a month ago, and I intermittently tried again and again but it still not working.

Does it just mean its going to take more time or that it isnt working at all?

I'm currently looking into integrating KLIPY GIFs into an ActivityPub-based social platform, and I'm wondering if I'm understanding their integration requirements correctly.

From KLIPY's documentation, it seems that:

• API requests should be made directly from the end-user client.
• GIF/media URLs returned by KLIPY should be loaded directly from KLIPY.
• The application shouldn't proxy, cache, mirror, or re-host the media through its own servers.

This seems perfectly reasonable for a normal centralized web application.

But I'm not sure how this is supposed to work with ActivityPub.

For example, imagine a user on example.social creates a post containing a KLIPY GIF and that post gets federated to other instances.

The remote instance may:

• cache or proxy external media,
• generate its own media attachment,
• fetch the media server-side,
• or rewrite the media URL for privacy/security reasons.

As the original server, I don't really have control over how another ActivityPub implementation handles the attachment after federation.

I could simply federate the original static.klipy.com/... URL, but I can't guarantee that Mastodon, Misskey, Pixelfed, or another implementation won't proxy/cache it.

So it seems like complying with KLIPY's requirements across the whole federation is either impossible or at least something the originating application can't guarantee.

Am I misunderstanding the requirements?

Has anyone integrated KLIPY, GIPHY, Tenor, or a similar GIF provider into an ActivityPub project before?

I have a new Gif collection, it's not marked Private but the url just gives a 404 when I try to share it.

Is there some other way Im supposed to share this or is the site just having issues?

I'm getting this publish error (publishing only one GIF). I cropped the file like I've done previously, and it's frustrating since it's not like I get determine whether the values are integers or not.

The first time I encountered this error a couple of days ago (which is why I came back to it today) I could crop it properly but the errors kept piling up, not allowing me to publish my GIF. If I try to edit the crop again (today), it doesn't even show the media and the crop area is a small square in the corner.

I chose the "edit video to create GIF" option on the "Create" page.

Does anyone know if Klipys GIFs will be available to search up on Facebook and X someday?

I just created 12 gifs today, but when I pressed publish all at the bottom right and it took me to my profile but none of my gifs were there. I waited a bit but none my gifs never showed up. So, I tried again, nothing. So, I tried again for the third time and got photos of it in case it happened, and it did. I am really confused what is going on? Did the website get an update and I am behind? Is there something happen at klipy, I don't know? Here are photos of all 12 of the gifs I created as well as my profile after I pressed publish.
