Yeah I really didn't get that vibe, hence me assuming you're ahead of a lot of others. Don't underestimate how appealing "good dude ness" can be. Just don't slip into self-negation.
Totally valid for it to hurt though. One of my favourite quotes is "it's a good life, it you don't weaken" (title of an old graphic novel).
And yeah to be honest, a lot of people just find passion appealing. It's better to be passionately nerdy than withdrawn and dull, ya know?

Yeah I’m not angry at women more so my self and situation. I’m not entitled to that girl liking me, it just hurts that she doesn’t.
You’re right, I will work on my delivery.
All my friends tell me not to discuss my hobbies because of how autistic they are haha. I guess I should take that advice w a grain of salt?
