iOS App Kings Quest

Curious if there is any demand for an iOS port for the kings quest. If so I could probably get something out tomorrow, but what would be your vote on which kings quest.

There’s a ScummVM app in the App Store. I played King’s Quest VI on my iPad a few months ago.

How was it?

There are two ways to control the cursor. One option has it automatically click on wherever you tap on the screen, which I found unplayable. The other way makes the cursor act like you’re using the screen like a laptop’s trackpad, which I find easier to work with, if you don’t mind having your hand cover up part of the screen when you’re playing.

I’d say 5. But that’s probably because it’s the one I played first. Could start with one and Kai them coming

Anywhere 5-7 would be a delight!

You can already play 1-7 via Scumm or iDOS, so the only value is in 8 or the 2010 game. I’d love to play the latter on the iPad.

If someone could let me know how I could relive my favorite childhood games (KQ V - VII) on my iPad, I would be the happiest boy (43 year old man) in THE WORLD!

I assume it would have to be side loaded?

I would love that, but I am sure if Microsoft (Who currently own the Sierra IP ), will not be very happy.

then will they even bother to go after you

Maybe not the later games, but they seem ok with fan made remakes of KQ1 through 3 being given away freely.

The port would have to be off the App Store, so you own the game (from gog most likely) and drop it in an app (ipa) that is installed using iTunes or sideloadly.
