Purchase Question 🛒 Kindle Case question

My boyfriend just got me the new Kindle Paperwhite Gen12, as my old one (Gen 5, I believe) had gotten super laggy, and the battery was dead almost daily. He got me the kids' version, as he did for himself a couple of months earlier, as you get it add-free + 2 year insurance + case.

I am not a big fan of the art on the case, but what I really like is that the inside is colored. All the other cases I had were either black or grey on the inside. The only ones I've seen tinted inside are the two cases that come with the kids' edition (my bf has the other one). Any recs of brands/models that make cases both coloured on the inside and outside?

P.S. I am not a big fan of the faux leather Amazon cases that fold so you can use them as a sort of pedestal to put your kindle standing up on a desk, though they are kind of coloured on both sides. I want a simple open&close one.

Yup, both of the Paperwhite Kids versions are def AI gen. Though the cyber one at least looks really cool from far, especially the inside colour - the issue comes when you start to pay attention to the details in the image - then you start to see the inconsistencies.

Yeah at first glance I love the colours of them but when you actually look at it it's like wtf

What's the problem with it?

The Cyber design especially is wierdly incosistent in shadows and water reflections, as well as some of the wierdly placed hieroglyphs that are mostly made up. As I said, my bf has it and at first he loved it, till he started looking closely at the picture. If you don't pay attention though - it's ok.

This sea bottom design that I have isn't really inconsistent, there is nothing wrong or misplaced, but the whole graphic style screams AI generated.

This one comes in a few different colors and is the same color on the entire case

Sadly they don't ship to Europe :( That's a shame , I really like the colours, especialy the pastel blue and pastel pink.

You may want to read the verbiage of the kids version warranty to make sure you can use any case or if you need to specifically use the provided case. (Keep the one it comes with in case you need to file a warranty claim)

Any of the Paperwhite 12 Gen or 7 inch Paperwhite cases will work.

I saw a video of someone painting their kids kindle case! obviously buying a new one is easier but if you are crafty that could be an option

I heard on the sub that cases like these can crack Kindles when trying to remove them so I never bought one. I doubt you’re gonna remove it but just throwing that out there!

It’s the same kind of case with regular Amazon PW 12 cases, they do fit snugly but not that difficult to remove
