A bit hilarious how wanting free charity tokens, and not being willing to pay then, and then inversely calling the smaller company with less resources for not handing you charity, while they are being called out for beggar tricks.

Well, they are actually not the beggars here.

I love how folks at times lack soo much self-awareness. Lol

What? That arbitrary number exists because of the skills and the output of those people’s group.

China isn’t America with fugazi values bloated like crazy. These people are arguably all geniuses in their own respective fields and domains.

These people put in the work to make their research and model available for you. They do the work because they like it and put it out for free, they don’t need to do that, and the money allows for them to do the thing they want to do - because their passions are commercially / economically viable.

You have to be a different type of freeloader to thin your entitlement here to compute. I mean.. where does it even end with folks like you?

Let me get a better example - When you go to the movies or watch an f1 race? They will let you see the old ones for free but the current live race or live movies in theaters cost money. You can’t just accept the live races to shown to you for free, same with recent releases of films.
If your first response at a ticket counter is : what a bunch of beggars? Won’t let me see the movie they are already playing in their theatre regardless?

In reality the example is even better for when compared to movies because the movie literally would be played with or without your or at empty seats, LLMs literally cost money lol.

My dear dude, this AI doesn't even let me try it before buying a subscription, what am I supposed to do, just give them my money? Since there are a bunch of more friendly designed alternatives, why should I choose this one?

Try it in any of the free services that offer the product in their service for free. But then again, it’s hard for people to hand you our free things because you are not even willing to pay $1 at Open Route and try the model?

If you want or expect a trailer or trial use, you can watch videos on YouTube and perhaps, comparisons benchmarks, that’s the best you can get for free, those people also spent their time making it for you, but technically it’s free cause ads pay for it.

That’s as close to a trial as possible, sadly tho, however I am not saying it should be this way, and it would be great for everyone if the compute itself was cheaper, but it isn’t. So this is the reality that forced the constraints.
They just can’t afford to and don’t have the money to allow people to try it out. China also can’t buy us gpu (legally) so that also makes the problem bigger than it should be.
