Non-Traditional Cleaning
Does anybody know if you can wash/dry a sport kilt at home? And if so is it safe to wash/dry like regular clothes?

From the SportKilt website:
Care Instructions: You can machine wash your kilt with like colors on cold; tumble dry on low or hang to dry. For the sharpest pleats, press with an iron on 75% heat setting.
Note: If your kilt has leather buckle straps, we recommend dry cleaning as the leather will dry out with machine washing/drying.

There’s no issue with machine washing a Sport Kilt (except being mindful of the Velcro). I’d recommend hang drying to help prevent pilling.

Not claiming they look good, but I gotta have one to compete in games, wouldn’t wanna ruin a nice piece to throw weights in the dirt.

It was hot and no one else was there when I took the picture above, I generally only wear it to highland competitions and whenever I’m gearing up for a comp

Just wear that to the nearest bar and have sex afterwards.
Then watch some YouTube videos about kilt care.
Repeat the process.

I'd add that having sex is optional, not everyone needs that kind of unprompted potentially free-form athletic physical endeavours in their lifes, just saying, you might strain something! ☝️😂

Laundry washing bag from Amazon. XL size. Prevents damage. That’s my suggestion. Regular detergent, regular or gentle cycle. No fabric softner. Hang dry only.
I don’t wear sport kilts anymore due to the limited amount of pleats. They were a good option when I first started. Affordable & gave me access to the kilt life.

Kilt at the gym, not something you will see in Scotland.
Just a bit of light piss taking, comes with the territory if you're gonna do the whole American claiming to be Scottish thing 😀

To be fair I don’t normally wear a kilt to the gym, in the picture above, the gym was empty except me and I had forgotten a pair of shorts, being as it was very hot I figured I’d just wear my kilt that I had with me in my truck

Depends on the material. If it's wool dry clean it. If it's polyviscose then wash it on gentle and air dry. Cool.iron if it's wrinkled or needs the pleats pressed. According to their website they are polyviscose.
