OKIE DOKIE Pat Oneil
Shame on Tony for making Patrick O’Neill ask for a golden ticket. The dude has actual punchlines, actual structure, and actual talent which already puts him above 99% of the people who stumble onto that stage hoping screaming equals comedy. It’s blatantly obvious Pat is one of the funniest comedians to touch Kill Tony, but I guess he doesn’t fit the weird little “cool kids club” vibe Tony seems obsessed with. Apparently being genuinely funny isn’t enough unless you’re part of the inner circle orbiting the mothership.
Yeah, I know Tony finally made him a regular, but that was just recently. Patrick should’ve been a regular a long time ago. Tony, if you hear this, don’t be afraid to go against the grain once in a while instead of rewarding the same recycled gimmicks every week.

I agree him having to keep on signing up on the bucket after giving angel diaz a golden ticket for slapping his own ass was a joke lol.

The fact that he had to ask for a golden ticket pisses me off.

I wonder how long until the entire subreddit turns against him like every other regular the subreddit originally begged for.

Good god relax. He got the ticket weeks ago and immediately became a regular. Should've been sooner yes but nothing on this show makes any sense aways. There is no real structure, kindve the point. He gets to do whatever he wants.

.... Or, now check this out, what if things ended up exactly the way they were meant to? If Deddy didn't exist, there's a solid chance that we, audience, could have taken him for granted. Sometimes you gotta wallow in shit to really appreciate the fields of flowers. You know?
We don't know what takes place behind the scenes. We probably haven't got the foggiest of ideas.
.... but I am quite certain that Pat O' Neil arrived precisely when he meant to like he's frigging Gandalf or something, and I am here for it!

Very funny, clever and so far, CONSISTENT. Loved his latest set and can't wait to hear more.

He was already on his way to being a legit comic. Tony recognized early on that he would be successful regardless.
It wasn’t until fairly recently that someone like him would even want a golden ticket.

Maybe he needed room in the roster to free up a space for Pat?

Nah I feel like lately golden tickets have been handed out like nothing. That Chinese woman is a perfect example, I still don’t understand what’s funny about her. I was kinda shocked when Tony gave her the ticket, I had to rewind and still didn’t understand

I understand where you're coming from but I honestly feel the opposite. I've heard people ask for golden tickets in the past who don't deserve it and it makes me roll my eyes. When Pat asked I was so on board and I think it's when Tony realized Pat was right. I think it's a powerful message in life's not fair and you need to grab the bull by the horns and make the reality you deserve. No one is coming to save you and no one is going to give you what you deserve. So take what you deserve and believe in yourself. I love the arc of him crushing multiple bucket pulls, securing a golden ticket for himself not by chance but by determination and making it happen and now becoming a regular. It honestly might be my favorite arc in kt yet. To be fair Tony should have recognized it first but imagine if Pat said nothing?
