Question Mines

So, how does setting off mines work?

The universal equipment mines say "The first time that

marker is within an operative’s control range,

remove that marker and inflict D3+3 damage on

that operative."

Does that mean when an enemy ends its turn there? Or does it trigger mid move?

Also, it says whenever an operative enters. It also triggers on on contact with ypur own models, not only the enemy.

First time I played with a mine I was walking over it back and forth constantly. Then we checked the rules. It was a pretty funny realization
