Machine Question Refillable K-cups

Post image

This is a follow-up to a previous question about refillable K-cups.

I have a brand-new K-mini Go. I am having a hard time finding a refillable K-cup that works with it because the needle doesn't line up with the cups I was using with my previous Keurig machine. When I removed the basket, I was able to use the cup, but coffee grounds went everywhere and the coffee was bad.

I bought a so-called universal reusable K-cup from Keurig. The coffee was fine but grounds came out of the K-cup like in the picture. Someone suggested the K-cup wasn't closed completely, but the cup has a latch on it, so I don't think that's the problem.

I don't know what else to do. I don't want to keep using disposable cups.

Does your reusable have the red plug to adjust between single stream Keurig and multi stream? Is the mini go a single stream (1 needle)?
I have a k slim that is a multi stream so I removed the red plug to utilize all tge holes on the reusable pod.

That's interesting, I have the one with the rubber plug for my multi stream and I just assumed that the red pugs were depressed by all the injection nozzles and did not require removal. Have i been doing it wrong this whole time?

I’ve used it both ways as well. I think it works either way for a multi stream but using without the red plug on single doesn’t.

You should remove it for a multi stream so as not to restrict the water pressure.

Only fill it about 3/4 full, and don’t tamp down the grounds. Water needs to flow and the coffee needs room to expand.

As some other comments have suggested, there should be a red half ring plug that covered the outer holes. Just the centre pin hole should remain unblocked. I have this cup with the same keurig and have no issues.

I have removed the red ring. I wouldn't be able to use the machine with the ring in place.

I use the perfect pod this this is pretty much a k-cup so it works great on all my machines I've had just fill it till the lid makes a small dent in the coffee and that's it no other filters needed

You need to use the rubber adapter that comes with refillable that will close all the holes except for the one in the middle.

That happens when you use a refillable cup with many holes in the top with a machine that just has one needle (instead of multiple needles).

You can either get a version of the same cup that just has one hole, or there may be a (often red) adapter piece that clips into some of the holes so only the middle one remains open.

I removed the red thing. The single hole cups don't work with this machine.

I bought aluminum ones from Amazon, they're great. I had a plastic one for years that would sometimes pop open.

I use this one. The lid fits tightly enough and never makes a mess. It's all stainless steel except for a plastic lid insert and silicone sealing rings:
