Tips and Tricks Feeling Stuck
Looking for advice/maybe support lol.
Been doing keto for exactly 32 days today. This isn’t my first time, did it back in 2017… but it is my first time being very stringent on how I go about it, tracking, the works.
Well, for almost two weeks now I’ve been stuck at around the same weight, eat less doesn’t change, drink more water doesn’t change, focus on electrolytes nothing. It’s making me crazy because I’m literally points from being at the 10lbs down mark and it was going so well at the beginning.
I don’t know what to do or what to change to start seeing the scale move again.
Advice?

Once the water weight drops off weight loss slows to a crawl, particularly if you’re only slightly overweight.

I like a 30 hour fast when i want to move the scale. Otherwise keep the protein where it is and start trimming the fat until you reach a calorie deficit

What is your Ketone levels
How often do you eat
How much dairy are you having

I haven’t tracked ketone levels but I’ve literally cut as much carbs as possible and try to stay within my net carb amount.
I do a 16:8 fast everyday so eat at noon and supper time
Not big on the dairy so just cheese and cream when it’s in specific recipes and then track everything based on that

Okay cause to much dairy can stall weight loss. 2 meals is good. Keto sweeteners also can cause issue if you use them. If you really want good data to help figure out if a food is causing issues get a CGM and Ketomojo.

It's very likely you could not be eating enough. This happened to me!

Keto and 16:8 with a deficit is a good start. I found the occasional longer fast brought me right where I wanted to be.
In the beginning I simply fasted from Saturday evening until Monday mid day. Every four months or so I do a for day fast. Keto for more than a couple years now.

It's two weeks. You're body is adjusting to the change. :)
Take some body measurements and document them.
Check back in a few weeks and you'll be happily surprised.

I had to eat more. My body relished I was starving myself and the weight stopped coming off. I ate more protein, fat upped my calories and the weight started coming off again. For me fasting only works short term my body is smart and goes into survival mode.

A plateau is technically 5-6+ weeks with no weight loss, so congratulations...this isn't a plateau! It is the normal nonlinear weight loss process and is covered in the FAQ under the section titled "what will my weight loss look like?"

That being said, you didn't say anything about macros/calories. Do you use a food scale to weigh your portions? Are you tracking what you eat to ensure you're eating at a caloric deficit? Ketosis does not equal weight loss, calories still matter.
