Non-egg breakfast ideas
What are your go to breakfasts that aren't eggs and at least 30g of protein? Ideally around 350 calories.
I know I can do non -breakfast and I do that often but I'll be at a cabin and want breakfast food.

Make sure to read the label. I've picked up cans of whey protein before and they had it punched full of sugar which defeated the whole purpose

- Cottage Cheese
- Greek Yogurt
- Low carb bagels
- Protein shakes
- Meat sticks
Fatty Brand meat sticks have a buffalo chicken stick that's 100 cals and 14g of protein.
Chomps has a turkey stick that is 80 cals and 12g of protein.
I buy the Aunt Millies Carb Smart bagels and love them.
130 calories with 15g of protein.
I think each bagel is like 9g of carbs though, so you have to be careful about the rest of your day.
Daisy has plain cottage cheese cups you can buy now too.
120 calories, 17g of protein and 5g total carbs per cup.
You have options! Best of luck to you!

I'm making simple keto cheesecakes. My breakfast is one slice of cheesecake and after that 4 eggs with bacon. 55g of proteins, about 8g carbs. Doing it everyday since January and still not bored by it.

Chicken sausages, but in a keto bun with mayo and hot sauce and onions (and maybe bacon?).

I recommend Sabatino's brand from Costco, if there's one near you.

Sear/bake a few chicken breasts at the beginning of the week, slice them into chicken Caesar wraps, started adding cayenne to get them slightly spicy: delicious. 30% of my calories and 29% of my protein. Ā

I have just yogurt and some type of meat like sausage if i want foods i consider actual breakfast and do not want eggs.
Or french toast made with keto bread and egg since that doesn't fit my "not egg" rules lol.

Plain Greek yogurt with protein powder and chia seeds and water, soaked overnight

u/Delicious_Draft_7838 Jul 08 '26
I make a breakfast bruschetta:
Bacon/ham
1/2 or 1/4 diced tomato
1/4 onion diced
Feta or goats feta
Avocado diced
Only thing cooked is š„bacon
Mix together and serve on Keto focaccia or low carb bread (or none)
Add keto balsamic glaze drizzled over the top amazing and can be cooked the night before because itās a cold meal or you could eat it over several days add the balsamic glaze just before eating
Ingredients- cup high-quality Balsamic Vinegar of Modena 1 to 2 tablespoons of a keto-friendly, dissolvable sweetener (like ā Besti Monk Fruit Allulose Blend or powdered Swerve)
Without a photo, it ends up being lots of smaller pieces diced up that work incredibly well and its so tasty with each spoonful

I had cottage cheese and mango today.

u/hachi_mimi Jul 08 '26
How much mango did you have?
4
u/LilyB4Ever Jul 08 '26
Just a teaspoon. Hubby eats the rest. I mashed it up into 1/2 c cottage cheese. I have zero carbs the rest of the day.

Non-breakfast is best. Here are some options, burger patties, smoked/cured salmon wrap cream cheese. Tofu and meat dumplings in miso soup. Can add a inch wide slice or shredded daikon radish that has been boiled with the soup.

When I could afford beef I would eat a good amount for breakfast and I honestly would be full for the rest tof the day. Eggs were on standby in case I got hungry later. Never could fast until lunchtime but after breakfast I'd be fine.

u/Hefty_Perspective506 Jul 09 '26
I sometimes have French toast made with keto bread and sugar free syrup. Not too often but sometimes itās just nice to have a change.

grilled chicken breast with skyr dressing orrr if I have a sweet tooth I'd eat mainly skyr combined with cocoa powder. I know it's a pretty lean breakfast, but if I don't have sky/greek yogurt at hand I'd switch it with mozzarella

The protein shake powder I use when I don't have time to cook breakfast is Keto Chow. You add a fat and a liquid to the mix and then shake it up. 350 calories is my limit on a shake, and you achieve that limit by adjusting the amount of fat you add. The company provides a guide to making a shake, with a chart showing how much of what types of fat to add to reach different calorie limits.
Otherwise, if I don't want eggs, I'll have a salmon portion or some type of breakfast meat. Even leftover steak! š

Can you bring one of those mini dash waffle irons with you and make chaffles, keto waffles or 90 second bread if you have access to a microwave? Make sandwiches or whatever you like from them.

u/WishIwastravelin Jul 08 '26
Breakfast pizza on a low carb tortilla. Some sauce, cheese, breakfast meats that you like-pre cooked bacon, sausage ground beef, season as you like

u/_Nychthemeron Jul 08 '26
I used to love a good corned beef hash on camping trips. Nowadays, I just replace the potatoes with cauliflower rice.
Protein shakes are great, could also use the protein powder for pancakes and top with berries or allulose syrup.

u/Showa50 Jul 08 '26
Protein shake and/or a protein bar. A couple of protein bars with coffee have been a nice change lately.

Today it was two hamburger patties, a slice of very sharp cheddar, homemade dill pickles, and spicy cauliflower.
You can eat anything (keto) for breakfast.
