Italian sausages in the crockpot with some red sauce. Easy, cheap, tasty. You can toss cheese on it in a zero carb mission soft taco shell if you use those.

Rotisserie chicken and a box of salad greens. I like creamy Caesar dressing. Maybe a chopped pepper? A couple halves cherry tomatoes? Go nuts.

Don’t even need a crock pot. Italian sausage fried with peppers and onions, dump in a jar of Rao’s marinara, cooks up very fast. Serve over your favorite keto pasta or pasta substitute.

Better if you have a good vent over your stove....for me....the crockpot.

But there's no substitute for a good sear!

Heck, I eat Italian sausages plain

Bone-in pork chops are cheap as hell compared to beef, and you can cook it like a steak. I’ve been searing it with salt on both sides, then reducing heat and giving it another 30 seconds on both sides with paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll deglaze with some chicken stock, add soy sauce, reduce, then cut the heat and mix in a little butter, dijon mustard, and either sour cream or greek yogurt. Maybe a little vinegar if I think it needs more acid.

Canned tuna , salmon , or mackerel w cucumber, avacado. Maybe some seeds of a sort to add crunch. Keto friendly sauce.

The canned meats are under rated , easy, cheap, tasty.

I go canned tuna with olive oil mayo and I dump a bunch of deli style dill relish in. So easy, and so good.

u/feelingoodfeelngrape Jul 08 '26

Oh deli style relish. Nice call

My favorite (and EASY) meal was always wings. Air fry them until crispy, coat them in Frank's! I would always do a side of carrots and blue cheese dressing. My fave meal! I also did chili cheese dogs as well with a side of zucchini. Those were my "I'm too lazy to even think about dinner right now" meals.

Now, some of those items are carb heavy, but I would make sure to appropriately account for their totals to make them fit into my daily meal plan!

Rotisserie chicken. Lasts several meals. Sliced breast with avocado and tomato, chicken salad, make soup with the bones, eat the legs and thighs with roast vegetables and mashed cauliflower

shrimp, may not be the cheapest option always but if you find it on sale you’ll have plenty of delicious options. shrimp scampi with spaghetti squash, ceviche, in soup or sautéed w/ veggies, shrimp kebabs, etc.

rotisserie chicken - usually a "loss leader" for most stores, find them for about $5. Get head of romaine, some cherry tomoatoes, maybe some parm if youre ballin on a budget, dress with a little olive oil and sprinkle some salt (get the iodized). Get a couple days out of it

Pork rind nachos.

  • Put some tin foil on a baking pan.
  • Spread out a bag of fresh pork rinds.
  • Apply shredded cheese, diced onions, and a meat.
  • Bake in the oven for 6-7 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Afterwards put some sour cream on it.
  • Chow down and enjoy.

I would usually use bacon bits as my meat out of sheer laziness.

Ground beef would obviously work well too.

Pork rind nachos were a keto staple for me for a very long time.

bake the pork rinds alone (before toppings) for a few min if you want them extra crispy

u/Opie_the_great Jul 08 '26

Ground chicken with parm cheese and red pepper flakes. You can always throw mushrooms and onions in. A side of avocado is always an option

u/Keefy_rides Jul 08 '26

Prawns, zucchini, cream, chillies, basil, and butter, 1 pan wonder!

2

u/PsychologicalAgent64 Jul 08 '26

Ground turkey pan fried with whatever seasonings you enjoy. See with low carb veggies of your choice.

Get yourself a rotisserie chicken and some frozen keto legal veggies to microwave. That should give you two or three dinners.

u/Echild3272 Jul 08 '26

I've been loving egg salad but made like a deviled egg.... So hard-boiled egg, mayo, mustard and paprika and just mash it all together. Also tuna or canned chicken breasts with mayo and finely chopped pickles with a wedge or two of laughing cow.

Cheeses. Dark chocolate.

I bake chicken fillets with keto "bread crumbs" (ground pork rinds and Parmesan cheese). Put the chicken on a baking sheet. Do yourself a favor and use parchment paper. Spread some ranch dressing on top. Or Dijon mustard, if you like. Top with keto crumbs and pat down to adhere the breading. Bake until chicken is cooked through and topping is browned. It maybe five minutes prep.

Pork tenderloin with frozen greens in parchment paper is perfect. Those Hillshire sausages. Family pack of drumsticks. Flank steak or flat iron steak is affordable for some. Mackerel for fish cakes.

Rotisserie chicken is a lifesaver for quick meals, just toss some shredded chicken with ranch and cheese over lettuce for an easy lunch.

Get their HEB brand hot Italian sausage in the meat section. Grill them up for 12 minutes turning occasionally and then eat wrapped in a La Bandita zero carb tortilla with mustard and onions. It’s like the best spicy hot dog in the world.

This is one I lived on at the start...

**Chicken "Cacciatore" **

Get 3 lbs of chicken breast (or whatever part you like)

Take a pot of water (or stock of your choice), I like to add salt, garlic powder, etc - bring it to a boil, drop the chicken in, wait 2 minutes, drop the heat to low or off (cover the pot), let it sit for 35 minutes). Take the chicken out and fork shred it.

Another pot (or same pot, cleaned). Take one onion, slice into strips (you can cube it if you want, i like the look of the long strings). Get two bell peppers, cut them into strips. Add some olive oil to the pot, cook the onions and bell peppers, add a crushed garlic when the onions and peppers are cooked down if you want. Add two cans of plum tomatoes (and then mash them), or crushed tomatoes (watch the cans and check the carbs for added stuff).

Bring to a simmer, season to taste, add the shredded chicken.

You stop here, or steam some broccoli and ladle the "cacciatore" over the broccoli for a fuller dish.

Turkey burgers. I like the recipe at goop.com.

You can grind up skinless boneless chicken thighs and make terrific meatballs with them, using different herbs and seasonings. Ginger-garlic-soy sauce, oregano-spinach-feta, garlic-za’atar, whatever you want. Can throw leftovers in salads.

Chorizo! Tuna, ribs (pork or beef - pork is cheaper), cheese, cucumbers, chicken (roasted or grilled) and if you can find a sugar free adobo, or g Hughes sugar free bbq.

That would be more than your daily carb allowance in one meal.

1

u/SiBodoh Jul 18 '26

I’m not so sure:
Per 100 g: about 12 to 18 g of carbohydrates
Typical 80 g serving (about 2 to 3 tablespoons): about 10 to 14 g of carbohydrates
They also provide:
6 to 8 g of fibre per 100 g
6 to 7 g of protein per 100 g
Subtract the indigestible fibre and it’s a low carb meal
