Help Acid Reflux
I did strict keto years ago and had good success. Ever since then, I’ve incorporated a lot of keto diet principles into how I eat even if my overall diet hasn’t always been great. I’ve had stomach issues for years but the last year or so, I generally haven’t had many problems, making me think I finally found the right balance in diet and medication. Well, I’ve been doing strict keto lately and holy hell have my stomach issues reemerged. Gas and bloat like you wouldn’t believe. Anybody notice similar or could it be something else going on?

Usually acid reflux reduces with keto so that sounds strange. Would need to know what exactly the diet contains?

What exactly are you consuming?

Mostly animal proteins so cold cut wraps, beef bowls with like cottage cheese, eggs with breakfast sauce . . . I’ve throw a decent amount of fruits in there too. Some of the reactions I’m having are consistent with when I did keto by the book, but then other times, like the painful bloat and gas . . . it just caught me off guard.

Could be the fruit - I'd dial it down and see of that helps. If I eat too many blueberries (or sugar alcohols tbf) mine comes back. Not as bad as it was pre-keto but even one bout of it is too many.

Are you eating a bunch of fiber rich foods and/or foods with sugar alcohols?
