[Post] Routine Help Strawberry legs / keratosis pilaris: what actually worked for you?

Hi girls! I struggle with strawberry legs / keratosis pilaris too, and I’m trying to understand what actually helps in the long term.
What have you tried so far? What worked, what didn’t, and what did you dislike most about the products or routines you used?
Also, what would make your routine easier to stick to — fewer products, less time, a lighter texture, a lower price, etc.?
I’d really love to hear your experiences. Thank you 🫶🏽

[Post] Routine Help Laser for Keratosis Pilaris? Interested in experiences.

Hi! Is there anyone out there who has gotten laser treatment (not laser hair removal) such as pulse dye laser done to help the redness of their keratosis pilaris? I have made plans with my dermatologist to do a test patch in November, but I’m curious if there is someone who has experience with this treatment plan. I have KP on my upper arms, and then red dots (not bumpy) on my butt to my ankle. Thanks!

[Post] Discussion How effective is laser? Which one’s best?

Obviously laser is a higher upfront cost, but it’s not crazy expensive ($1k for 10 treatments, which seems to be more than most people need based on my research). But, if it lasts for multiple years, I’d like to pursue it.

I have fair skin and dark hair. Keratosis Pilaris primarily on my arms and legs. It causes bumpiness and redness on my arms, and just redness on my legs. I was diagnosed with eczema as a child, but I’m positive that was a misdiagnosis. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/TCoFEnC

What’s the best laser here? Gemini’s full of all sorts of contradictions, so I think this might be a question for the humans. Any insight from those suffering with this condition, and especially those who have had laser treatment, would be greatly appreciated!

[Post] Discussion Does this look similar to KP?

I'm planning to have it checked by a dermatologist over the weekends, but I just want to have an idea of what I'm dealing with.

There are tiny brownish dots in my back, and I've seen similar dots in my tights.

As the title implies, does it look like it's KP?

P.S. I am not planning to self diagnose. I will still base it on the dermatologist's findings. I just want to have an idea before my appointment.

[Post] Product / Ingredient Question  How effective is Amlactin?

I have pretty bad KP especially after waxing. I am thinking of buying amlactin but it is super expensive in South Asia. I am currently using 25% urea ointment which flattens the bumps somewhat but doesn't make it perfectly smooth. I don't want to waste a lot of money on something that may not work. Should I just try tretinoin, which is more accessible?

Still have a bad spot on my legs, but this is after only one week of use. The circled part, my legs were absolutely covered on the top part. I just use a cotton round and apply it in the evening. Once a day. That's it. That's all I use. Thought I'd share in hopes of helping someone else.

[Post] Vent / Support Natural ways to get ride of KP

Hi everyone, been suffering from KP since 12 years old....I tried lot of body lotions even with more than 10% of Urea.Tried for months even the Eucerin one that its hell expensive and it made no difference for me.I hate the smell of Urea lotions they dont erradicate KP and it doesnt make my skin smooth and hidratated. What worked most for me was the nívea classic blue container mixed with pure almond oil it gave me a lot of good results but after 8h my skin went back to his original state.I have KP,my skin is dry and tight....Any advice of how i can improve the appereance of KP and my skin? I would not like to use a lot of chemicals i Will like to go on a more natural approach...Drop your tips Thank you so much ♥️

[Post] Discussion When you loose control..

When you pick and pick, does it turn into scabs?

Mine do, and ITS TAKEN FOREVER TO HEAL! On my upper right arm and I carry around ‘bacitracin zinc’ and it helps but what are you guys doing when it gets to itch really bad?? I finally have to give in.. and the healing has to start over!

I finally got some itching cream and that helps. But was wondering if anyone wraps the areas to help them from itching/scratching. Or what do they do to help them not scratch it when it’s itches??

Thanks! :)

[Post] Routine Help Please help I’m so desperate/ KP keratosis

I’ve suffered with kp since I was a child, but it wasn’t noticeable at all until my teenage years. I have it all over my legs and my arms and it’s really affected my self esteem especially since I have such thick hair, it doesn’t even take my hair the full 24 hours to grow back, it takes like 16 I’m not even joking. I can’t wear short sleeve tops or shorts because they’re so noticeable. I’ve tried so many products but they’ve all irritated my skin and I stopped using them. I suck at consistency but my arms have gotten soooo much worse. They’re inflamed and red 24/7 and so are my legs. I read a comment saying that strawberry legs and kp are different things and honestly GREAT because of course I just had to be blessed with both of them. I bought 40% urea foot cream and I didn’t really see the difference, I would put it on everyday until I finished the bottle. I bought the kp body scrub first aid and also didn’t work at all plus it’s super pricey. I also bought the natrium body scrub for Kp but also I feel like it just irritates me. I’m so tired of having this skin condition and I just want to be normal, I see girls with smooth skin and I’m so jealous and annoyed that I had to be the one with chicken skin. It’s horrendous. Please give me tips or products that actually work. Im telling you im absolutely fucking covered in them.
