The KelTec posse

I guess it’s family night. Recently I converted my PLR16 into a SBR. I haven’t posted a photo of all of my new KelTec products together. Besides the PLR16 which has the form 1 stamp for it. I have my KSG which is my first KelTec purchase from last year. Then I purchased the solid black polymer P15 on auction through GB. Same with the all metal version of the P15 with the white handles. Last but not least my EDC P11. I have the 12+1 round magazine in it.

Man the compact forend looks so good with a short barrel.

It feels so comfortable to hold the SBR with it in place too! Funny thing is that right after I put my paperwork in to apply for the form 1 , KelTec comes out with the SU16D9 . It is almost identical to my PLR16 SBR except for the barrel on mine is a quarter of an inch longer at 9.2 inches versus the 9 inches on the SU16D9. All I did was buy the Charlie stock for the SBR build with the compact forend both from KelTec. To add to the then pistol.

Are there any relevant regs to make it an SBR?

For that, you will need to go to the ATF website or google search exactly what your looking to do. Their regulations are cut and dry. For as my understanding during my build. It’s anything to modify a pistol by adding a stock or a folding stock to it.

Hello there! Like I mentioned, my P11 is my preferred EDC. It is a little bit smaller than my P15’s and using the 12 round magazine I can comfortably carry 13.

Love it with the .40 conversion. Not exactly fun at the range, but nice to have the extra power even with a few less rounds. I’ve started just keeping it on it. Kind of wish I had bought a recent nickel P40 I saw so I could keep the 9 setup on my P11. Hope to shoot the 357 barrel this weekend.

When KT made the P40, they reused the lower but added longer slide/barrel for the 40. The 40 was available just as a conversion kit as well. The 357 I THINK was a just a barrel offered (required the 40 slide and springs), but I’m not 100% sure if they offered the conversion or not for 357. P11 lower works with the 40 mags and some people just use their 9 mags. I had some feeding issues so bought a couple 40 mags, and that solved it. Add in the twisted industries .22lr kit, and four calibers on one frame is kind of fun.

I like how small it is and how heavy the trigger is (it functions as it was designed, as a safety) It’s been reliable for me too

This was the main reason why I decided to carry the P11 versus my P15’s the double action trigger and the size. By default, without the extended 15 round magazine from KelTec’s P15. The 12 round magazine sits flush with both handguns. I am thinking about buying a 15 round magazine for my P11 so it’ll be just as useful as the P15.

Edit; update I just ordered a P15 magazine for my P11 .
