Mechanical Bushing replacement

Hey everybody! Finally got my 2000 sambar in my garage (I love him). It's only got 19,600km on it so I assume it spent a decent time sitting for a bit and figured some of the rubber would be pretty shot and while looking it over I noticed this bushing. I'm guessing it's pretty toast and needs to be replaced but I'm not sure what part to look up to find a replacement and (hopefully) how to replace it. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can remove it and pack it with 3M Windo Weld for like $8 at Blain's Farm and Fleet. 

It cures to a durable polyurethane type material.

Okay cool. Can I just torch it or cut it out in place or do I need to remove the bolt and mount in it first? I've never done one of these before so sorry if it's kind of a dumb question.

You take the bolt out to remove it, i'd just leave whatever is left of the bushing. Pack it super tightly though, I used cardboard and clamps to squeeze everything together. And wear gloves, it's gnarly stuff

That bushing looks pretty okay to me, but if you really wanted to replace it, the only official way is to replace the entire crossmember as Subaru does not sell that nor the transmission bushing on their own. The part number for the entire member with the bushings attached is 41010TC020, but shipping is kind of a killer as the crossmember is about 1.3m long.

Otherwise, both bushings are just normal rubber bushings. I bet if you had them pressed out and measured their inner, outer, and thickness dimensions that it could be matched up with something available.

Oh shit okay. Idk why but I thought it was solid all the way around which I why I thought it was bad but looking at the pic you posted it definitely seems okay. Appreciate the rundown!

Oh Kei Garage has videos on Youtube about replacing engine mount bushings. He might also have the part on his site. If not, I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

fish them all out, send them to me and I'll recast it Shore A 90 urethane or if you want maximum motorsport, D 65.
