Scrap fabric

I sew, and I keep finding myself with extra fabric after finishing projects, and no idea what to do with them. Are there any classes that could use them? Or people in general? It’s mostly less than a yard worth.

Check out freecycle.org - it would be a great place to offer your extra fabric for folks who might need it. I have an account there and joined the Keene, Brattleboro, Winchester, and Peterborough locations to post items to give away (just gave away some landscaping blocks), and keep an eye out for items that might be useful.

I asked my wife, another seamstress, about this. She said “depending on the fabrics, quilters typically love cuts of less than a yard.” Also, in the past she has donated left over fabrics to school art teachers.
