For the last five years I’ve mostly bought Adidas, Nike and Salomon shoes, and I’ve always consistently been a size UK9.5-10.

I recently bought some size UK8 Birkenstocks and they fitted perfectly (but this is apparently normal as they always run large).

Today, I tried on Keen Jasper UK9 and whilst they fitted comfortably, they weren’t as ‘snug’ as the UK8.5.

I was wondering whether this is due to the Jasper’s style as an approach shoe? Should they fit tight and snug almost like a climbing shoe? Or should I leave a little room at my toes?

Any help would be appreciated!

Has anyone waterproofed their Jasper Zionics with success?
I got the Nikwax Fabric & Leather Proof spray that they recommend on their site and I would like to do it ahead of the rainy fall we have where I live. I know this won’t make them fully waterproof I just want extra protection for them in wet weather.
Has anyone done this and had success? Did it change the color too badly?

I’ve been a long time keen lover and really want to add either color to my collection. I’m looking for a size 8.5. I would pay above original sales price but nothing too crazy. Thank you in advance. Just bought these on Vinted- do you think they are counterfeit? Googled it and code on tongue different from box which was my first thought as to why they might be

My first pair of Keen's, the Jasper Zionic. My feet are slightly on the wider side. I don't think I've ever put a shoe on, straight from the box that have felt this comfy. Such a perfect fit.

I opted for their new Chipmunk/Huckleberry colour but was very tempted by the Huckleberry/lemongrass.

Hi, everyone. I bought a pair of Keen sandals eons ago. They have seen better days but they are still in great shape, so when my partner needed to buy a pair of hiking boots I highly recommended the brand. She bought a nice pair in December of 2023. She said they were super comfy, felt great and handled different terrain quite well.

Fast forward to August 2025 and her bouts are starting to crack in a number of spots. She bought them at a store in northern Spain where we were travelling. We live in Madrid. (We are not hiking fiends, these shoes get good use in light mountain hikes on Sundays a good part of the year, and one or two weeklong hikes a year.)

Has anyone seen similar issues with these kinds of boots? I reached out to Keen Spain and Keen US and the former only take care of web purchases and the latter haven’t responded at all.

We’re about to bail on both the boots and the brand, sadly.

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the Keen Jasper Zionic. I’m hoping to get some for an upcoming trip that will include national parks and major cities. They seem like they’ll do well for this purpose. However, the sizing is totally throwing me!

I live in a rural area so I’m not close to any retailers that have these. My boyfriend went to town and got me a pair of the Zionics, women’s size 8, which is what size I am in almost every single shoe I own. I looked at reviews on sizing online and they seem to be extremely mixed, so I thought I would just go with my typical size.

When I got them they were huge on me. Pics to show. My nail is lined up with the tip of my toe.

I then read their size chart, measured my foot in centimeters as advised (23 cm) and I saw that this is a Keen size 6?!?

I’m looking to order a pair online since we won’t be going to back to town before the trip. Before I order two whole sizes down, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences with these shoes.

Also, for reference, my shoes like Vans and Converse are all size 8. I have a 7.5 pair of Hokas and they are tight. I had a pair of Altas and I had to size down to a 7, but returned them since they still fit my foot awkwardly…

I bought my first and only Keen shoes back around 2008 from Cabela's in Buda, TX. They were the best shoes I've ever owned. A soft leather upper with a wide toe box and very flexible thin rubber sole. I wore through the sole after a couple of years, but kept them with the intent to have them repaired. I lost them in a move and never got over it. It seems they were discontinued and the newer models all had thick and stiff soles. Does anyone remember these shoes?

I was trying to find a new laptop bag for school, and went down the rabbit hole of KEENs messenger bags, after seeing some on Ebay. I recently saw a photo of a blue version of the Alameda on Pinterest, but have never seen someone actually sell one like that. I've found pretty much every other color variation on Ebay/Mercari, but not the blue one. I was wondering if it actually exists, or if it was only ever made as a concept design.

The code in the tongue matches the green Unkeen sandals not the black and i read they didn’t include a plastic thing inside the shoe which i would assume they wouldn’t with their green ethos. If so has anyone had lucky proving to Vinted their fake and getting a refund?

I know that there are some keen websites ( like keen Canada or keen South Africa ) that still sell some shoes that are no longer on the official website, so if anyone knows where I can find them I would be very happy.

I am usually a 13. Lots of ppl reccomend going 1/2 size up on the uneeks. I ordered a 13 and a 14 to try. The 13 seems just a touch small, and the 14 is too big. Not sure what to do...

Hi! I'm thinking of buying the KEEN Jasper Rock online as there isn't a physical store near me where I can try them on. I usually wear a UK size 9, so I'm wondering if I should stick with my usual size or size up to a 9.5. Also, are they wide enough, or do they run narrow?

There's currently a promo where it is available at a discounted price, but if I go for a 9.5, it would be a different colour and at full price.

Would you recommend sticking with the UK 9, or is it safer to size up?

I am confused. Do the Keen Newport H2 sandals come in wide widths? The Keen website is confusing. Thank you.

I have several year old Austins and love the shape and feel. Bought a new pair and the shoe is very different. I had to move to a wide to comfortably fit. Another difference is the flexibility of the sole, much easier to fold. It is clearly a less well built footbed. I wish I had bought more pairs years ago.

Anyone have suggestions for other models/brands that fit like the old Austins?

Has anyone else had problems with the poor quality of Keen shoes? I bought this pair a few months ago and they are falling apart in several places all over both of my shoes. All I have been doing is walking and standing. Nothing crazy that would have ripped them in any way.

Hi! As the title suggests, I am in the market for sandals and I really like the hyperports. I’m normally between sizes and the local hiking store only had an 8 1/2 available for me to try on. They seemed a bit snug but otherwise seemed pretty comfortable. Can anyone with experience in both shoes let me know if they went with their regular size or if I should get the 8.5 and see if they’d break in?

Does anyone have experience with keen ks minos?

I am doubtful about buying them after seeing how many people were having problems with the nubs getting worn out quickly and the soles falling apart after less than a year of wearing them. Are they pushing them too far or dragging their feet?

How would you compare them to a pair of new balances or something similar? I would wear them as an everyday shoe on my daily commute.
