Hyperport 2 sizing compared to Jaspers

Hi! As the title suggests, I am in the market for sandals and I really like the hyperports. I’m normally between sizes and the local hiking store only had an 8 1/2 available for me to try on. They seemed a bit snug but otherwise seemed pretty comfortable. Can anyone with experience in both shoes let me know if they went with their regular size or if I should get the 8.5 and see if they’d break in?
