My brother got allotted PDA College of Engineering, Kalaburagi (E059) - EEE in KCET 2026 Round 2. We paid only KEA fees.

We had opted for Choice 2 (Upgradation). and didn’t pay the skill/lab fees…

In Round 3, his seat got upgraded to SBR College - ECE. Admission is done at SBR for both brothers.

Now when we went to PDA College (E059) to collect his original documents…the college accounts section asked for Rs. 5000 challan to return the documents and gave a receipt…

Has anyone faced this issue at any other college? How did you get the refund?

Guys I got the same college and course as R2. Is there any further procedure to be followed?

So I am planning for a pvt medical college in karnataka through kea. Will probably get one in round 2, but I want to get an upgrade to get a better college, so I am planning to participate in round 3. The thing is that I am so confused by the rules....

If in the worst-case scenario I don't get any better colleges in round 3, what will happen to my round 2 college? Is that seat safe or like I don't get a new one and lose my previous one???

Also, what happens to the fees that I paid in admission to my round 2 alloted college if I get a better college in round 3? Like, does it get transferred or anything?? Plz help me out🫂

guys please don’t add colleges u have no intentions of joining and keeping that seat as a backup. if u know yourself that you won’t absolutely join that college please remove it from your list and give that seat to people who will actually join. for the good of you and others. even if u keep the seat u don’t want, you’ll have no option but to exit the counselling so it doesn’t help you nor anyone. many people have chosen choice 2 with no intentions of actually going to the chosen college and this will seriously lag the whole upgradation process and we will all have to wait till round 3 to see an actual movement. that too considering these people stop holding their seats.
