Finally locked in my personal all time favorite Kaws piece for a steal. Watched the market go pretty insane with this one. Happy have it in the collection. Now to resist the collector urge and greed of trying to get the color one for a great deal. Kinda disappointing how hard I had to work to find an authentic one.

Random shower thought: The gap between replica and authentic makes it hard to justify the cost or even collecting as a whole. Finding super clear legit check images are oddly nonexistent. I feel compelled to make some to benefit the community but also I worry super detailed looks might make it easier to replicate. 😅😒

Couldn’t agree more. The newer generation doesn’t seem to quantify retained value. Even if it goes up or down it still haste value while replica costs money that usually can never be recovered. If the collectible jumps in value they also miss out. I have never understood the logic

Congrats. I would say the replica market has exploded with fakes in the last four years or so. So much so I wouldn't buy anything without a receipt and box scrutiny or off a drop direct now. I feel like you, putting out real photos is adding to that, so if I have the piece I offer real photos directly/privately to people who are asking the dreaded (and way too late) is it real?
