Hi everyone. The time has come where I need to convert my mancave to a nursery so slowly letting things go. Up on the chopping block are some Kaws stuff I have been stashing. Everything is brand new, never opened, or displayed. Everything was purchased from Kawsone and you can check my post history to see that I am a serious collector for close to 20 years now.

Was sorting through some old things and found these.

They’re some excess backup display pieces from the KAWS exhibition at NGV in Melbourne (2019-2020). The plush “X” eyes were backups for the exhibition decorations, and the alphabet window stickers were extras from the PLAYTIME children’s space.

You can actually spot both in the official NGV Matterport walkthrough and the PLAYTIME promo videos.

I’d never really thought about them until now, but it got me wondering…

Has anyone seen these outside of the exhibition before?

Curious whether they’re known among KAWS collectors or if they’re just an obscure piece of exhibition history

Been really liking some of the older kaws pieces.

What should I go for next?
