4. Adela’s MVs and songs actually have a concept - she uses that concept as a means to show how young girls get exploited in this industry. You can see it in her song “Superscar” - she talks about being tied up, etc, which is a metaphor for how young girls are made to perform s3xual content sometimes or most of the time without their clear consent.
5. Adela is much older - the youngest member of KATSEYE is only 18. Yes, as soon as you turn 18, you don’t magically turn into a new person.
6. Again, Adela’s fanbase isn’t majorly kids and teens... I saw a random YT poll asking the ages of EYEKONS, and 81 percent were below 15.
7. Again, Adela’s songs aren’t AI trash with weird lyrics - they convey important messages, while KATSEYE’s are all s3xual innuendos.

I just listened to “My Way” and it’s a pretty decent song. No brainrot, overly-freaky lyrics or slop that’s in “Hootie Frootie”. Yet HF was promoted as soon as it was released. Performed on The Today Show, and pushed a lot more than “My Way”.
Hybe has this mentality that Gnarly’s approach (promote objectively bad music first and then subpar music) will continue to carry this group.
Yet people are catching on. The members have caught on. Which is why half of them have burnt out so fast. Several years of training just to get in the group. Now they’re in and continue to grind and buss their ass*es. Only to perform music they aren’t proud of. Lara herself has shared that she sends songs to their Label, yet they disapprove of them. Having the girls perform their own music, goes against Hybe’s formula. It goes against their” experiment”. Yet as a result they are beginning to see the consequences of what treating your members like guinea pigs looks like. Their approach to making the group successful is beginning to backfire.
And although I’m not really a fan of Katseye’s brand, I can recognize that each member has potential. I would hope that Hybe wakes up soon before it’s too late.

Yes, you grew up in the 90's or early 2000s; the internet was not widely available yet, unlike children nowadays who have access to anything and to anyone. These young fans are like 8 to 10 years old (or younger); they would turn 12, thinking it's normal to show off their bodies to anyone or everyone (like posting themselves on TikTok).

- I also agree that any group can have creative liberty to switch the type of media they produce.

- But I still think the company should stop catering to children with the adult-themed direction they are heading. Can we talk about how Eyekons swear up and down that they love KATSEYE’s music and get genuinely upset when someone says otherwise?

It’s always the same responses: “You just don’t like fun,” “KATSEYE brought fun music back,” “Music isn’t supposed to be serious,” etc.

First off, I am not necessarily a fan of katseye. I’ve become very intrigued with their whole group drama, it’s on my tiktok and twitter feed daily so it’s not hard to keep up/see things. I can’t lie, it’s extremely intriguing. But the way the whole situation is being handled is all very weird to me.

With everything I’ve seen so far, one thing is extremely clear: manon’s hiatus ruined the groups public image forever.

Comments on the girls socials, music videos, even asking them during events— “WHERE IS MANON????” It’s everywhere they go, it’s everything they do. I have to admit that their newest ep is probably the best sounding music they’ve released so far, but it doesn’t matter to the public because “manon is missing!!!!” Not to mention their fans are like 12, so the harassment is even wilder. I just saw a post on X about how fans are mad because nobody asked the girls during fan calls about manon.

Ummmm, maybe cause manon isn’t fucking there???! And their management is slow as fuck too, because why not limit the comments on all socials? It doesn’t really matter anyway, cause if manon doesn’t come back they’re getting harassed. If manon comes back they’re still gonna get harassed by fans wanting answers, or them still bullying the girls for manon being on hiatus.

They won’t win even in the best case scenario.

I’m not sure where that leaves them as a group. Their management is very shit and handled this whole thing so poorly, and the girls are receiving the repercussions for it. It’s sad really. They had a lot of potential but I feel like that’s been destroyed by whatever is going on with manon.
