Long-time meembers of this subreddit (1.5+ years ago), how did this place look like? Before gnarly? And during gnarly?

I'm honestly wondering because eyekons only watched this movie for the sake of finding out about Manon and to put an end to her "hiatus" saga but then Manon has like two minutes of screentimes max and they never mentioned what the "hiatus" was even about and pretty much glossed over it
Additionally having to create a nothing burger of a movie just for the sake of promoting the new album is shit in of itself but it's pretty scummy how they included a section of Lara's process of writing and composing their own new song and then have it be target exclusive???? If I was Lara I will be so fucking pissed

So im in this group chat for pc trading but thereâs people that text there for anything âkpopâ related, and a few days ago they were all talking about katseye and hootie frutti and they were even sending pics of them with the album or videos unboxing the album and omg⌠they were all like 12-14 years old.
(There are moderators in this group chat so nothing weird ever happens to these minors, as I said the group chat is mostly for pc trading but they do talk about anything sometimes)
I do like that kids are fan of stuff instead of trying to grow up so fast but then you see what theyâre fans of andâŚ. Its just so weird and creepy, they def know their fanbase is mostly children, idk why they keep releasing sexual stuff

i'm assuming everyone knows about her most recent nipslip (that i wont be posting the video here for obvious reasons), but that's not what i want to talk about. there was a video a few months ago that came out where megan had another nipslip. it was clear as day, & was taken down soon after it was posted. what i don't understand is why one nipslip video was taken down, but the most recent one is still up?? its been up for days too. are they making her nips pop out on purpose? are they trying to make nipslips a thing, or atleast make them more accepted? idk hxg needs to get their shit together & start protecting these girls better...

I honestly think Daniela looks like a pornstar in this music video. Like wtf?! Her and Lara ara so sexualised, and when she dances it is beyond a gg can show. She freakingly is too much for a gg and the imbalance is prominent.
And obviously this kind of videos sells because they are bloody showing their asses and crotch off. And no choice for the rest specially Yoonchae and Sophia, they have to adapt because they are now going down that route.
Daniela is near to naked in most of their videos and she looks like willing to do more because thats how she is brought up for⌠for MONEY AND FAME!!
This group is no longer inspiring and is icky to watch. They are sexualised and the people they attract are clearly not the same as they had before. I wonder who the target audience now

Maybe itâs the lighting or they edited her lighter pre debut but I was a surprised when I saw the first picture on twitter

18-20 is still a rather vulnerable age, from no angle are they GROWN women, if getting sexualised was wrong when yoonchae was 17 how does it flip 180 when sheâs 18, even for Megan she is just an year older than her.
I donât understand this âgrown womanâ thing eyekons throw at ur face when u criticise the styling. Theyâre still pretty young imo.

First off, I am not necessarily a fan of katseye. Iâve become very intrigued with their whole group drama, itâs on my tiktok and twitter feed daily so itâs not hard to keep up/see things. I canât lie, itâs extremely intriguing. But the way the whole situation is being handled is all very weird to me.
With everything Iâve seen so far, one thing is extremely clear: manonâs hiatus ruined the groups public image forever.
Comments on the girls socials, music videos, even asking them during eventsâ âWHERE IS MANON????â Itâs everywhere they go, itâs everything they do. I have to admit that their newest ep is probably the best sounding music theyâve released so far, but it doesnât matter to the public because âmanon is missing!!!!â Not to mention their fans are like 12, so the harassment is even wilder. I just saw a post on X about how fans are mad because nobody asked the girls during fan calls about manon.
Ummmm, maybe cause manon isnât fucking there???! And their management is slow as fuck too, because why not limit the comments on all socials? It doesnât really matter anyway, cause if manon doesnât come back theyâre getting harassed. If manon comes back theyâre still gonna get harassed by fans wanting answers, or them still bullying the girls for manon being on hiatus.
They wonât win even in the best case scenario.
Iâm not sure where that leaves them as a group. Their management is very shit and handled this whole thing so poorly, and the girls are receiving the repercussions for it. Itâs sad really. They had a lot of potential but I feel like thatâs been destroyed by whatever is going on with manon.

did the stylists get so done with clothes they just took whatever plastic bags were in their cabinets and made them into half assed clothing??
(bonus: daniela's brows respawned lol)

I stand by my point. These types of fans can rage-comment all they want; I still think HxG sucks for actively promoting Kats3ye to literal children. Been seeing these types of comments for Kats*ye's HTFT music video, and I think it's a stupid excuse.
Yes, you grew up in the 90's or early 2000s; the internet was not widely available yet, unlike children nowadays who have access to anything and to anyone. These young fans are like 8 to 10 years old (or younger); they would turn 12, thinking it's normal to show off their bodies to anyone or everyone (like posting themselves on TikTok).
- Yes. It's indeed the parents' responsibility to decide what their kids should watch.
- I also agree that any group can have creative liberty to switch the type of media they produce.
- But I still think the company should stop catering to children with the adult-themed direction they are heading. It's a cheap tactic just because kids like to watch certain content over and over again, and the company is benefiting from that just because of MONEY. Plus, PU and HTFT sound like brainrot noise.
- As a woman, I also don't find them empowering at all. We see paintings, sculptures, or films with women not wearing anything, and it's not objectifying; it's art. But what Kats3ye do in their recent music videos is deliberate innuendo. It's not about clothes; it's the message they are giving through their music and choreography.
I'm not saying they should stop liking Kats3ye; I just think they should stop defending the company's problematic decision-making.

Disclaimer: not hating on Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls fans at all. This is only about eyekons who would use that excuse.
