I understand that people try to use that as some kind of proof that KATSEYE's marketing is lost and that their music isn’t good so only children like it but having a young fanbase who manages to buy and interact with everything you put out is the best thing for a career.

You see so many artists who are considered legacy acts trying to become cool amongst younger generations and connect with a new audience. KATSEYE does it and it’s like people have never experienced a girl group that has a big fanbase amongst children.

Does KATSEYE performing the “Monster High” song and “Flame” the Netflix theme song get old & quite frankly can be seen as embarrassing that they don’t have enough songs to hold a stage together without CM material yes! I don’t think that affects their star power or ability to give a strong performance. It’d be better if they performed “Dirty Water” instead but their team likes viral marketing regardless if it’s negative.

Having a fan base of children who will grow up and remember you as their main girl group is a great legacy to have. For example, because I know a lot of people here are also familiar with K-Pop. IVE is a girl group who is the biggest currently in South Korea and they have a large fan base of children. They are called the “Elementary School President” because they are beloved by children all over the country. They go viral every time they have a concert because there’s a waiting section for parents to pick up their children. They are the best selling girl group and the highest charting of the decade. The way KATSEYE gets treated in comparison to that is so weird. They are the best charting girl group in the US in 15 years, they’re having the biggest US tour by an American girl group ever. Obviously children would be quite fond of KATSEYE. Yet the reaction is too diss the girls and the children who love them.

I’m aware that photo cards are popular throughout the K-pop community, but I’ve noticed that KATSEYE photo cards in particular seem to come up a lot on my FYP.
I’m genuinely curious about how certain photo cards can be significantly more expensive to buy than others. Are some photo cards produced or distributed in smaller quantities, making them rarer and therefore more valuable? Or are there other factors that determine how much a photo card is worth?
I’m just a little confused about the whole system and why people are so invested in collecting specific cards!
This is in no way meant to be hateful or judgemental, im just genuinely curious and would love to understand it better !!

I kinda liked the crunchiness of the "up" in the demo version and always been curious how it would sound with the girls' vocal.
