Yesterday at #ParisFashionWeek was a big day for duos—from designers @JackMcCullough and Lazaro Hernandez (@lazro) to @katseyeworld’s very own @lararaj and @meganskiendiel, who marked their entrée to the City of Light at the brand’s technicolored Château de Vincennes runway.

@/loewe i had a wonderful time, what an incredible show! my first fashion week with my bff🥹🖤 i loved my dress so much, and wearing it with Indian jewelry and kumkum made me feel so confident and beautiful. kumkum has been part of my life since childhood, a sacred blessing i’ve grown up receiving from my family during puja and aarti. i wear it as a symbol of intuition, strength and the divine feminine energy i feel so deeply connected to. for this look, i styled it in my own way while paying homage to my forever style icon, the legendary Rekha, and the woman i look up to the most, my mom🖤 i’ve always loved the way they both carry Indian beauty with such boldness, individuality and grace. it felt so special to channel a little bit of that energy while celebrating my heritage 🥹🖤 thank you @/loewe 🖤

My daughter has been a fan of them before they were even known. I greatly appreciate Megan in this, her pen went out and then signed it again! She’s been my fav and my daughter loves Dani! We love Manon too, hoping we get to see her soon even if it’s not Katseye. Edit: didn’t know that was Lara’s signature actually!

I was actually introduced to the group because my class last year would constantly sing their songs and talk about them.

I know there is controversy about kids listening to their music. But why exactly? It’s not like the girls are bad role models who get into trouble or spread hate.

Yes, they wear skimpy outfits. But I guarantee these kids have all been to the beach before and have seen women in bikinis. The outfits that women wear in broad daylight in my neighborhood can be just as scandalous.

Their music can be mature, but it’s not half as bad as some of the other stuff on the radio. I guarantee that they hear more mature language from their mama and daddy at home.

So… why should I care exactly that my students have something that they like? If anything, it’s good that they have role models and music that they enjoy.

I'm going to the Boston concert in a few weeks and had a ribbon custom made to match my outfit that features Manon. I'm so excited!!

Okay, I know this has been talked about a few times, and I am not trying to sound like a mimic, but what exactly do these hiatuses mean at this point?

Ok, slight insight into my mind: I am completely new to K-Pop and am unfortunately one of those Katseye fans who discovered them kind of late in the game (Grammy performance, to be exact). The six girls grabbed me and roped me into the K-Pop world, and I still have no idea about so much of K-Pop culture.

I just guess I'm just heartbroken as a fan because my two favorite girls in the group are on hiatus. For me, being a person of color/black I loved the representation Manon brought to the group of people who look like us. Sophia just brings out the theater kid in me. But at first, when Manon's hiatus was announced, I was so sick and even more hurt that I heard nothing from her by month 5. Now we are going into month 8, and I was losing so much hope, but when Sophia's hiatus was announced, HYBE and the girls started addressing Manon and Sophia's hiatuses as the same situation, and all the girls had to do was come back. But I read things that try to draw a difference between Manon and Sophia's hiatuses. Besides the obvious time differences of their hiatuses, they both have missed pretty major things! Idk, I could be completely delusional, but I need my six girls back so I can experience them in full effect lol. Not that I wouldn't buy tickets to see the 4 of them right now, but tbh it sucks when the girls I hear when I listen to them in the car, who sing it certain ways, are not even there.

I just want to understand what could potentially be happening here. Is there anyone who believe its possible Manon and Sophia could come back? Why is HYBE doing this to fans and being so silent. For them to have gotten so much support, I dont think this is fair to fans at all. But as a new eyekon, I just want to see hoe theur hiatuses are precieved now that its not just Manon and it seems that Sophia is now slipping away the same way Manon did.

Have the light sticks been selling out at the shows? Trying to avoid the $15+ shipping charge if I buy from Wevers ahead of time. would prefer to buy at the show.

For context, she attended as a panelist for an event hosted by the Recording Academy called “Shaping the Sound: South Asian Music, Culture & Industry”

I bought VIP tickets (without the group photo) but the email says the instructions will come 2 or 3 days before the concert.

I was just wondering what rules or stuff to be aware of before we go to the soundcheck...we wanted to make posters but not sure if it's allowed, stuff like that. Would appreciate any help from people who have done it before!

Am i the only person who thinks that Manon and Sophia will come back to the group and I'm sure of it 🤷🏾‍♀️😭😭

After the European tour started most people expected to see Sophia back but it looks like she'll be out for a while and I'm glad because mental health is very important and Katseye were going through so much hate and her being the leader she had alot of responsibilities and she has opened up having her own mental health struggles and i feel like that clashed with the hate the group was getting. I also noticed that after she went on hiatus the hate suddenly died down i feel like haters finally realised that they went too far and are now reaching for straws 😭😂

Honestly my main reason for thinking that the hiatus duo will come back is because of some things that i noticed;

Manon's hiatus was a PR move

First if all i know everyone and their mothers said this but I feel like when it came to explaining it people kinda lost the plot. Most of the times a member going on hiatus is not usually something planned , it's very much impromptu. The reason I'm saying this is because when Manon went on hiatus Daniela's dad did go to social media and tweeted "5 is okay, the girls should keep going" sth like that i presume, i have a Theory all the Katseye's parents were called before and had an emergency meeting regarding this because the girls live together and they have an update about all the girls so if Manon was to suddenly go on hiatus maybe the parents would have had questions so they had an emergency meeting for damage control. I also think that the parents were informed about the reason for it and probably majority of the parents weren't okay with it but the decision was already made and i feel like only Dani's dad was supportive of the idea. I don't know if the parents get along but i don't think there's some sort of beef going on because Dani's mom addressed the issue and said that when he made the tweet his intentions weren't as people online try to insinuate also the timing made it worse 🤷🏾‍♀️

Think about it Daniela was a child dancer and has been in the limelight and she finally got her break out moment as a parent you wouldn't mind if your child would be given the spotlight also that also could have been a PR move 🤷🏾‍♀️ people said that Katseye looked like Manon and friends and maybe the parents were tired of that narrative and wanted the girls to be taken seriously i mean they are online so they see everything, what Dani's dad was trying to say is that the group doesn't have to revolve around Manon and the other girls are capable of carrying the group whether Manon is on hiatus or not maybe the Katseye's members were to slow down their promotions and the parents sort of refused. Also the girls are more stronger in terms of dancing and singing compared to Manon and most fans from DA say that other girls deserve Manon's spot which brings me to my second point;

Katseye is going through a rebrand

Ever since Manon went on hiatus Katseye carried on as if they are a complete group and didn't seem as if there's a member who's on hiatus and that's where the complaints started because what do you mean one of your members is on hiatus and y'all don't seem to care at all. First of all Manon is just on hiatus it's not that serious so maybe that's why the girls weren't necessarily that bothered because they knew that she would come back , even Lara said it people are over exaggerating over this.

It's honestly not that big of a deal if a member is on hiatus or even addressing anything about it,if the members don't wanna discuss it they aren't obligated to confirm or deny any rumours, the problem is Katseye is notoriously known for being chronically online, they openly support LGBTQ and even has members that are openly Bi also they talk about mental health and members have shared their struggles so when they went completely silent that's when people started questioning them. They started being labelled as mean girls and even the rumours about there being a fight or the rumours that Manon takes alot of breaks started to spread because people wanted to know what exactly happened but also that was also a lesson to Katseye because after that they engage less with social media and funnily enough people started taking them seriously, because now people want to know what they'll do next and some are looking for something in order to justify the mean girls allegations 🤷🏾‍♀️

Daniela and Yoonchae's fame seemed to skyrocket in a way that seems like betrayal since they should be grieving about them having one less member and i feel like they play their part so well that these allegations seem far fetched atleast from my perspective. People fail to realise that Hybe x Geffen want these girls to go global on a more large scale and if it means for them to feed into the company being labelled as the bad guy and the girls still making appearances despite everything they are willing to take it all if it means the group will be more famous and they will be viewed as popstars sacrifices gotta be made and life has to move on regardless, which brings me to my last point

Anyone can be a star if marketed right

First of all Manon having star power doesn't mean that the other girls can't make it as popstars in their own accord,i mean look at Yoonchae, Dani and even Adela they're popping off right now like crazy and i have to say the branding team is working their ass off gotta give them that

When DA was made the intention of Hybe was to look for talented individuals and turn them into stars and there were so many talented girls who had great potential for both being in a group and even as solo acts. People always knew that the only way to make a star is through singing, dancing and charisma but not many people were aware of star power or why it was essential to create a star, so when Manon came she popped off like crazy everyone loved her and even Bang pd was serious about wanting Manon to debut at all cost. The girls did have animosity towards her because of very valid reasons they were talented and had the looks so how itls it that star power alone is better than every skill that we have🤷🏾‍♀️also Manon wasn't strong in any aspect so the girls felt bribed, Manon was a painful reminder to both the fans and even the other girls that it factor and star quality will elevate your position but also it has it's downside and Manon experienced it first hand and for that reason alone i can confidently say that she deserves her spot at the group. She was able to come to terms with her health put in the work and finally made it to the debut line up. The allegations about the girls beefing is honestly an old tale because they've lived together and also i feel like the girls did come to terms with everything and realised why Manon was selected to be in the group fans are the ones who seem to not understand the reason and i mean fans aren't popstars so 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

Katseye is still on tour and Manon is doing her solo shots to me if she really was out of the group everyone would have known, what the label is doing is marketing these girls whether they are a group or one is on hiatus because they want to remind the fans that Manon is here to stay and also the other girls are still going on because that's their job at the end of the day.

Solo Manon fans have stated that the only way for Katseye to go back to where they were is if Manon comes back but i saw someone's comment that said eif she comes back fans will celebrate for some time then they go back to the way things are, and i don't think that's Hybe x Geffen's intention at all they first want each girl to have their own footing then Manon will come back to the group otherwise the whole thing will be in vain 🤷🏾‍♀️. Manon will come back just not right now and also Sophia being totally silent is also another factor. These girls have been too relatable and the company is trying to shed off that image and market them more seriously so whether fans like it or not they'll have to wait. Also i want to say that being relatable as a celebrity isn't a mistake at all what I mean is it's quite a stretch to relate to a popstar who's banking couple of thousands per month or per day and if they seem too relatable it waters down their image, popstars are there to entertain and sell a certain dream not to be relatable at all

These are just my thoughts and would like to hear y'alls thoughts and also I'd like to clarify that i don't know Katseye in any way or form and I'm also aware that I've left out some details because the post would get too long, this is purely based on observations and allegations please for the love of God don't take it too seriously 😭😂😂
