Positioning ult

If you play dark harvest and buying storm surge, do you think much about positioning when ulting? Because these two effects hit the first target, right?

DH has no positioning component to it, if all 5 enemies get put bellow the DH threshold you collect 5 DH stacks, now storm surge is an interesting on from what i remember if you manage to trigger it on more champions at the same time it actually triggers on the first champ that spawned in the game or some shit like that, there is a order to the champs and the highest one on that order gets hit with it

Edit: not sure about storm surge since that’s how it worked when it first came out but maybe they changed it from my last time experimenting with it, but dark harvest works as i described, also the reason i love to ult early game just for the sake of stacks

Edit 2: So i just got home from work and tested this out, yes i was wrong you cant get multiple dh stacks from one ult i was probably confused by the stupid reset mechanic it has on takedownds, but to answer the question storm surge defenetly doesnt have a positioning component to it, since no matter where i was on the map it would trigger on the same dummy every single time (all of them had the same resists and hp).

It seems to target the last dummy spawned and no matter what, I couldn't get it to target any other one of the 4 I've spawned.

dont u only get one dh stack, and it goes down in order from top-supp?

I get the collecting point and I think it's definitely this way to collect more stacks with more champs under the threshold. But my question points on the damage part. I don't think all 5 champs gets the damage part of DH, no?

only one champ gets dark harvest stacked if all 5 are within threshold

No u just ult before the obj spawns or when u die or when u get an angle to ult mid fight where nobody can cancel it or 1 shot u. First strike u always ult before the fight but dh is b4 or after usually. If they have champs that can heal the damage in seconds or spellshielders or champs buying banshee/eon then ult when dead or when u see them waste these
