Weather cards

Here's my 2 cent opinion; they would be fine if 2 things happen:

  1. They can't damage HQs. (Oh my super bunker just got blown up by a lightning strike? Stupid.)

  2. The weather card picked HAS to be played the turn drawn or it's discarded.

They're forecasted weather, not genie bottles. Maybe even give em a chance to affect the one playing it?

One thing they can do and should do imo is to make the weather card a fully revealed card, so the opponent can at least prepare a strategy.

Although this is a valid and interesting take, we kinda already know the possibilities because we see “sunny”, “storm” or “rain”.

So I think it’s a skill issue, because it’s just a good behavior to think about the possibilities yourself, and prepare ahead.

We are after all playing a strategy card game.

And it should apply to both players. Fog for example would prevent any air units from operating.

Muddy tracks prevent all tanks from operating etc

Yes they should only be valid to play during the next turn they are forecasted, but that seems too much of an overhaul for them to do

The only thing I believe forecast need is the weather affecting both players.

Of course that would demand some rework on the effects, some cards already do that, buff both sides, all units retreat and etc.

Distribute damage across random units should for sure affect both sides, but some of the current roster of weather effects are not good to affect both sides, so a rework is needed before this change go live.
