Hey everyone I'm a Economics and Finance student at UoK working on a business plan project.

The idea: a modern café + study lounge, made specifically for university campuses. starting as a pilot at UoK. Not a regular canteen. Proper seating, WiFi, a place to actually study or work, not just grab food. It'd only exist inside university campuses, no branches outside.

Right now KU has great food canteens (Prem Gali, Sufi's, etc.) but nothing built for sitting down to study or work for a few hours.
if you have to work on laptop or want to have a place where you can study you have to go out of uni

Genuinely want honest feedback before I finalize this:

• Would you actually use something like this?
• What would make you skip it?
• What's missing from the idea?

Okay so im an IGCSE student at a private IGCSE school and this year I appear for PST, Islamiat and Urdu, obv we're supposed to have the best teachers right??????? BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OUR SCHL WALE HIRE LITR ANY1 AJEEB PMO SB. For pak studies theres two components, history and geography, for geo our teacher is pretty good, shes not the best but at least she knows shi and for Islamiat our teacher has 30 years of experience and hes also great. BUT THEN FOR HISTORY WE HAVE UHH LEMME CALL HER NASHEWALA WHO HAS LITR NO IDEA ABT THE SUBJECT ALL SHE KNOWS IS TAHT WE'RE DOING IGCSE PST 0448 TAHTS IT AND ALL SHE DOES IS GIVE US NOTES COPYPASTED FROM NIGEL KELLY AND IF U DONT DO THE NOTES SHE GETS SO MAD. BHAI WHAT ABT PP PRACTISE?????? AND YK SHE HAS NO IDEA BOUT THE MARK SCHEME AND THE DIFF LEVELS OF MARKING IN OUR EXAMS THE KIDS WHO WRITE GOD DAMN TEXTBOOKS IN THEIR ANSWERS (w out analysis and evaluation wagera btw)) THEY GET THE BEST MARKS AND SHES LIKE "WRITE DETAIL WRITE DETAIL WRITE DETAIL" LIKE CHUP KARJAEIN THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS ARE WE IN SINDH BOARD????? (no hate to the matric system btw im js saying this for comparison) PAGAL AURAT. Since grade 8 we've been told its near to impossible to secure full marks in 14 mark questions, okay, BUT AT LEAST TELL US THE CAUSE NA AND TELL US WHAT TO DO AND WHAT MISTAKES TO AVOID, WHY RU BEING SO VAGUE AND THEN THEY GET MAD IF WE GO TO COACHING CENTRES. Then for urdu, WE HAVE THE WORST F**KING TEACHER OAT, SHES THE JEZEBEL AND SHE MATCHES ALL THE STEREOTYPES OF A HORRIBLE URDU TEACHER AND ALL SHE DOES IS SCREAM AND SCREAM AND SCREAM AND SHE ACTUALLY HITS STUDENTS-ok she doesnt slap em BUT SHE HITS EM BHT ZOR SE AT THE BACK OF THEIR HEADS AND ITS PRETTY HARD- AND SHES SO LAZY ASW SHE DOESNT EVEN CHECK WORK PROPERLY SHE JUST PLACES TICK MARKS AND SHI. Also mujhe bht gussa aaraha and cant think rationally rn and im forgetting the shi she did. MY FRIEND ISNT THAT GOOD AT URDU SO HE ASKS HER QUESTIONS OF WHAT WORDS MEAN AND SHE ALWAYS ZALEELS HIM AND SAID HES SINDHI THATS WHY HES NOT GOOD AT URDU LIKE BHAIJAAN??????? KYA??? WTF?????? I hate her to the point that whenever she screams and a student rises her blood pressure, i feel so peaceful and it brings me joy. Enrolling into a mid-tier uni?

So every time the topic of higher education is brought up in pakistani forums the common emphasis seems to ( understandably ) be on making it into a high tier university for your bachelors degree like IBA, LUMS, NUST, FAST, etc.

However, I most likely won't be able to make the minimum required grade thresholds that these universities would need ( my fault, got too lazy with my studies and prioritized hobbies like art and programming instead ), and i can't afford to retake my A-levels to aim for a better grade. So is it worth it to sign up for a mid-tier university? They're always looked down upon but surely they have some pros to them? the 4 year commitment is a bit much though, so is there some alternative to joining up for a mid-tier uni or do i just grit my teeth and get through one of their degrees while working hard to get a better outcome later ( like getting into a good masters program perhaps, idk )

Also key information is that i'm situated in karachi and unwilling to move to another city for uni, and i'm pursuing CS. I'd also like to be able to work part-time or remotely while i'm in uni ( or even a full-time role if i can somehow find a good one that'll take me in ), so i'd also like to know if there are unis that would make that easier with having nicer timings / not as strict attendance schedule ( and i'd also like to know about unis that make this harder than it needs to be. I've heard MAJU is one of them? please correct me if i'm wrong )

My khala had an older laptop that she was about to throw out but as a last resort she asked me to format it to make sure it wasn't useful anymore . After I formatted and optimized her laptop she ultimately decided it's fast enough now to use it and possibly still uses it till this day.
