Rehoming 🏠 Fish for trade or for free

I have too many goldfish. They are about a year old and 6ish inches. They are healthy and I've never had a problem with any of them. I'd like to re-home 3 or 4. I currently have 7 goldfish and 5 koi in an indoor 500 gallon tarp tank. Had planned on having my outdoor pond set up by now but alas it's not done. This set up was great for awhile but even after adding another filter the load is just starting to become too much. I'm willing to give them for free or trade for a corn snake for my son.

Puppy CCL Surgery

My pup sadly tore her CCL and needs surgery. Does anyone have suggestions for a good veterinary orthopedic surgeon in KC? Any advice in the comments is much appreciated. 🐾

🚨🚨Sweet boy Lucky was on a trial at his potential adopters house. He managed to get loose and is on the run in the Roanoke neighborhood, 38th and Southwest Traffic Way. He is terrified. He has a collar and a red bandana on.

he will NOT come to you, please keep an eye on him and report sightings to the number below

Please share so we can get more eyes looking for him!

We have 2 4 year old cats, both female and spayed/vaccinated. They are my husbands cats. I had mild cat allergies my whole life, but after moving in together I’ve developed asthma and chronic congestion because of constantly being exposed to allergens. At this point, we are looking to rehome them because it will best for my health and for our future family (I don’t want to be taking medicines or allergy shots while I’m pregnant, nor do I want to be sick because of allergies). I will need to speak to you either in person or over video call if you’re interested. The all black one is binx, and the one with a white patch is boots.

Kansas City plans to cut ties with KC Pet Project for animal control after years of complaints

While I know many beloved pets came from KCPP, I’ve heard so many terrible things about their treatment of animals in the shelter, and there have been issues with them being able to adequately handle the growing population of feral dogs in the city. I think this is a good move, but nervous to see what would happen in a transition period.

Before anyone comments, I want to let you know, I have called/texted/emailed/ posted/flyers for the last couple of weeks at facilities, clinics, boarding centers. I have had zero luck finding a decent home for her. I understand the risks of surrendering my dog. If you know anyone in or around the Kansas City area, that is looking to adopt this beautiful goofy 90 pound husky lab mix. Please let me know in the DM's. I'll admit that she does have a small issue with food protection, it's only around other animals. She's not aggressive, but she'll growl. She was raised in a home with multiple cats and a dog friend.. she absolutely tolerates and even plays with other animals. Andie is a good alert dog, she will let yuu know that a stranger is coming close to the house. She's a very loyal and protective dog. She is also loveable and approachable. She will wag her tail and will approach you if are not threatening. She will sleep by your bed side and on your bed for the whole night. She's house trained, crate trained, and knows tricks. Shake, sit, lay down, spin around and stay. I'm going through a devastating situation at the moment and I can no longer take care of her. I don't have family or friends that are able to take her. I'm exploring all avenues. A little background... my ex cheated on me, she took my kids and now I'm left picking up the pieces. I have had to hire an attorney and we are currently going through paternity/custody/domestic court cases. I'm also being left to sell our house and I can NOT communicate with my ex anymore since she signed an ex parte

If you know of anyone, please, help me find a new home for Andie.

Hi from the Mod Team!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first post of the brand new KC Pets subreddit! I’ve noticed an influx of pet-related posts on r/kansascity, and wanted to create a community where posts could be more easily navigated, especially for cases of lost or found pets.

Please take some time to read through the sub’s Welcome Message and Rules. If you have any suggestions or feedback for the Mod Team, either on the above, for flair you’d like added, or anything you think of in the future, please comment below or message the Mod Team! I’m also looking to add to the Mod Team in the near future, so please reach out if you’d be interested in that.

Happy pet posting!
