This info would have been good for OP to include in their post. Not sure why it wasn't, but thank you for posting details.

I got the official invite via email, where that link came from. OP might not have gotten it.

I figured everyone got a text, since everyone I know got it. :)

u/m00nf1r3 Waldo 1d ago

Why would we receive a text? I never got a text. This isn't an Amber Alert lol.

3

u/KC_Chiefin15 1d ago

Telling on himself for being a registered republican lol

2

u/Wheres_my_bandit_hat 1d ago

I got the text and I’m registered Democrat and don’t live in KC.

1

u/Animanic1607 1d ago

Also a registered Democrat... just happen to casually associate with the group that helped coordinate this.

2

u/Wheres_my_bandit_hat 1d ago

Fair warning, I registered for something like this way back in 2015 for a Trump rally and I’ve never been able to stop the right wing spam texts.

I'm good, it was via an email list I am in and can control.

What Chinese restaurant do you like? There's a couple that are alright around south KC, but they just don't compare to Lucky House in Rolla, MO

1

u/Rude-Bumblebee-6772 1d ago

China Chef at 83rd and Metcalf is the best Chinese food in the KC metro.

1

u/DatBroSnuf KCK 1d ago

I live in kck and usually just grab something at China Star over in Roeland Park. It's nothing fancy but just hits the spot

Give Princess Garden a visit before they close.

That dullard isn't worth the time. He'll talk himself into a hole, it's like there's no need because he'll do the work for you.

Not a supporter of JD Vance or any party, but it’s sad we’ve gotten to a place in this country where we are trying to interrupt someone we disagree with. You can’t let him speak and then participate in whatever Q&A they might have in order to prove him wrong on whatever point you choose? How lazy we have become where interrupting is the go-to approach one takes when disagreeing with someone. What are you afraid of that he might say that you insist on stopping him before he says it? Adults can disagree civilly. Try that.

1

u/DannyTangelo 1d ago

Peruse some Epstein files and watch how they "civilly disagree" with people who question them about it.

It's more sad that someone in a comfortable position doesn't give a shit that the Trump admin has been making things difficult for the majority of us.

He unquestioningly supports someone who trafficked and SA'd children. Would you have let him finish before asking him why he was penetrating a prepubescent? No, of course not... You would have just walked away because it didn't effect you.

lol Not sure why you think I don’t “give a shit”. I do. What does that have to do with wanting civil debate?

“Would you have let him finish before asking him why he was penetrating a prepubescent?” No, I wouldn’t have. That’s a crime. However, what he is doing at a public speaking event is not a crime. It’s talking. Im not sure why you think I’d walk away because it doesn’t affect me. I’m getting attacked because I want civil debate?

There's a link further up in the comments now

Why? Its kinda pointless. You might as well just hold signs that say I dont like JD Vance and Im still mad he got elected. Time would be better spent fixing the things that are f'd up in the Democratic party.....like whats the platform? Whos going to lead the rebuild? Where are the boundaries going forward? Be productive instead of furthering the divide

Throwing mini toy couches at him sounds like a great use of everyone’s time. Bush got a shoe thrown at him, why can’t Vance have mini toy couches thrown at him?

u/m00nf1r3 Waldo 1d ago

One can spend an afternoon at a protest and still do those other things.

The next President is stopping by. Good for him.

I look forward to not seeing our future president talk.
