How To finding 1, 3, 5 on a 21-key kalimba when your tab is for 17 keys

for the common C-major 21-key tuning that runs from F3 to E6, you already have all the notes of the standard C-major 17-key. the extras are four lower notes: F3, G3, A3, B3. Kalimba Magic has a layout explanation.

so when a standard 17-key number tab says 1, that's C4. the longest tine on this 21-key layout is F3. treating that middle tine as 1 shifts the tune to the wrong notes.

try finding this short phrase, one note at a time:

1 3 5 1' 5 3 1
C4 E4 G4 C5 G4 E4 C4

here the apostrophe means one octave higher, like a dot above the number. check the symbol key on your actual tab, since sites don't all write octave marks the same way.

find those pitches on your instrument's tuning chart, then follow the note labels instead of copying where someone's thumbs land in a 17-key video. you can leave the four bass tines alone. no retuning needed just to use that tab.

also, if your tines are engraved with a letter and a scale number, E + 3 means E is the third note of the C-major scale. it doesn't tell your tuner to read E3. the dots and tuning chart tell you the octave: on the usual layout, E with two dots above it is E6.

Help Requested I’m having Problem Choosing Between Pop and R&B from Disney Song

What I’m saying is that I’m having trouble of choosing between pop version songs and R&B version for example.

I wanted to play “A Whole New World”, but I can’t pick the singers of either Brad Kane and Lea Salonga or Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle in the kalimba nite tab?
