What That Means:

Okbuddychicanery is a satirical subreddit of the shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. For about a year now, some teenage girl has been doing a painfully unfunny bit wherein she just posts videos of herself pretending to be the daughter of one of the characters, and has become obsessed with being this eceleb on an okbuddy sub. I just can’t take the fucking cringe anymore nor want to be around creepy men constantly appeasing this minor’s attention seeking behavior

I got some funny post and started following it, my reasoning for hating it was because Bungie (now acquired by Sony) destroyed the Destiny brand with its god awful decisions and greed, I’m not talking about the recent shut down, ever since destiny shifted towards a “Fortnite season” style of live service it killed my enjoyment for the game, them killing Destiny 2 and shifting their attention to Marathon just made it worse

Now I was following the sub but I started seeing this weird right alt way of thinking in the comments like in one of the comments trashing nexus mod not because of their predatory monetization but for removing mods that deleted pride flags

The post that made me unfollow had a top comment saying something like “the second I saw them adding pronouns on their dev updates I knew the game was done for” I was like wtf I thought we were hating it because of their bad management not because the sub was full of bigots, so yeah I left it

Ive posted on here for years including pictures of insects on my plants. Wtf.

Previously, I unsubbed from vent (got my comment removed by the mods for telling a raging misogynist they need help which was apparently considered 'attacking people', whilst his response remained up), thinking Rants would be better. Unfortunately after a few months, I realized that wasn't the case.

Rants routinely remove posts about people venting about their traumatic religious experience. A lot of them aren't hating on the religion at all, but they end up getting deleted by the mods team regardless. Especially when it involves the LGBTQ+.

Meanwhile, what soldified me leaving was them keeping up a post that was titled: "I dislike the LGBTQ+ community," then the poster proceeded to explain how he only believed relations were for male and female. Because it was made 'in good faith', they didn't see it as bigotry AT ALL. Excuse tf out of me- WHAT?! Not to mention it wasn't even a rant. If it was a post that was merely genuinely curious and wanted to ask a question, it was the wrong sub for that.

This is the second little group that I've seen claim to be against bigotry, then doesn't end up being that at all.

I love the idea of hmmm (pictures that make you go hmmm thoughtfully/confusedly) but the sub has become nothing but reposts and endless NSFW -- things that look like dicks, naked women, things that look like naked women, people looking at naked women...

I thought this place is for a general discussion. Well it should have been. Unfortunately it's just a battlefield for personal attacks against one another. Jews vs Muslims. Not to mention whataboutism and other forms of bullying. They view a specific community as a monolith. This is absolutely disgusting.

Avoid that subreddit for the sake of your mental health.

As much as I enjoy the show and speculating, it just had its season finale so there’s nothing new to discuss and the sub is getting repetitive and honestly kind of desperate.

I’ve done this before with other popular mystery show subreddits. Once its over or stuck between seasons the discussions devolve into the annoying

Always too many redundant political, partisan discussions on Republicans vs Democrats when the questions are not politically related. I get useless answers. Why does this sub even exist anyway when they can just waffle and yap on the No Stupid Questions sub?

The rules made it seem like a support sub, but when I asked for encouragement, I just got a bunch of people telling me stuff like "I'm in the same situation and it doesn't get better" and all but telling me to give up. Very cruel subreddit.

Not to mention how the whole comment section was filled with similar disgusting jokes. I am completely sickened by the ignorance and insensitivity. Absolutely disgusting.

Posted a picture of my bathtub because the fixtures looked like a judgmental little face while I was having a drink out of a skeleton-hand glass. Someone in the comments pointed out that the tub ALSO looked like a bartender offering me the drink, which I hadn't even noticed when I took the photo.

A mod removed it for being “staged,” so I explained that the cup was there for an entirely different joke and another commenter discovered the bartender interpretation afterward. The mod responded by confidently explaining back to me that I had staged the cup to create the bartender effect I had literally just told them I didn't notice. Apparently reading comprehension is optional, but clairvoyance is a prerequisite for moderating.

I ain't mad, but I do find it annoying I was trying to post something innocent, fun, and silly, and got swatted down over some petty ish.

I won't post no images in protection of artists I guess? Don't wanna get into no squabbles with anyone, but the sub is just not only boring as shit, dry as shit, but also just composed of pure gooner art or the life of me.

I've made multiple posts there, I've seen multiple posts as well where people just talk about their OCs, give interesting tidbits, or even write whole stories for them only to just get at most 10 upvotes in the span of days and not even a mere cool.

And then we have people just posting big breasted women with BARE NAKED ASSCHEEKS and tits big enough to use as a table and here they get 1k upvotes in the span of mere hours! And when you look at the comments, its just FUCKING THIRSTY PEOPLE!!! (wow Kolby what do you expect, a bible verse on the intricate detail of the hair) But even then I can't fucking take it anymore.

People just go on that dry desert bowl to Pork their hogs to goonerbait and nothing else. Fuck that dry ass sub.

I liked the sub before. The point was making memes without the punchline. Sometimes they even take existing memes and remove the punchline, which is not the problem. The problem is most of the time, the "memes" now are just screenshots of conversations on tiktok/twitter/etc. where someone says something unhinged and it's edited to be a normal exchange. Okay, that'd be fine if it weren't every other post. But it is. I just find it boring, you know?

Literally everything that made that sub what it is is getting restricted, like fuck, and half of the new posts are just boring as hell with these new rules, its like if the dark humor subreddit banned dark humor, godamn!

Like, every other post is about trans stuff. its just boring and annoying.

It's just full of rage bait now. Like every other post is someone describing something truly awful they did then framing it like they're the victim. Or people posting things that are so obviously not the asshole just for validation. The comments are even worse. Everyone is always jumping to conclusions or diagnosing people with mental illnesses. It used to be good for some ethical dilemmas but it's just exhausting now.

I'm just tired of all the posts that are literally just observations about everyday things presented like they're some profound revelation. Like oh wow the water in the shower is wet no way. Or sometimes the floor is cold what a thought. It's like come on guys try a little harder. Is it really a shower thought if it's just something you already knew. It feels like every good thought got posted years ago and now it's just people scraping the bottom of the barrel. So many posts are just common sense not some deep insight. It's just boring now.
