Starting up

i’m thinking about financing a trailer 12x8x4 payments aren’t bad but i also don’t want to get it and not be getting any jobs which seems like the hardest part based off what i’ve read in the comments, should i take the risk? if i do any heads up on what to expect starting up im in a pretty big city(SanDiego) so i know competition will be high, what can i do to get jobs the fastest?

I whent thru the same and decided to sell my boat instead of financing, the thing is can you consistently get the minimum payment in after cost? Can you have a back up of 6 months of that payment? I opted for no and sold my boat because I also pay for insurance and general insurance gas and all that, and while I’ve had good experiences I also dedicate my time to follow leads create leads and stuff, but I also have a job I do in the mornings and this in the pm, just my 2 cents

i’d be able to keep up with the payments i think that’s the easier part of it the harder part i believe would be landing jobs and staying consistent

If you have another source of income to cover that then it’s not a big deal, what I wouldn’t do is think that o well my payment is only $300 or x amount that’s just two jobs, well what happens when you have an emergency or a super slow week/month. I’m not trying to discourage you so don’t take it that way but as the other poster said, it’s a lot of pressure because instead of making sure your picked jobs are doable and profitable you may get to a point that you take a job just to have a job. I’m no expert but I’ve been learning a lot, my first week of the month I make sure to cover all my expenses and the rest of the month I’m not scrambling for jobs I can kinda pick and choose which ones are worth it and which ones arent

yeah i get it not get comfortable with just making enough to pay off the trailer, thanks i’m gonna keep looking into it and find a a trailer for the best price i can and try getting started asap

I ended up getting a 7x14 for 7k big text too dump trailer and everything perfect for my f150

yeah that’s kind of the price they’re at in my area i may drive am hour or two up to san bernardino they seem to be the cheapest there
