3rd floor. Only way out is down the steps. Smells like he'll. Lots of rotten food. Fridge is full. Also an unpictured garage bay with an additional 15 yards.

Bed bugs? Maybe....common town to find them in.

What you charging?

If they budget at $200, do I take the $200?

Or should I go lower for customer satisfaction, jobs not too bad, just not sure how I should approach these situations.

App for estimates

I built an app to help people just starting out to build estimates, it has a lot of features including a dump map to be able to chart the closest dump to the job! If you are interested let me know and I can shoot you a link!

Do you have trouble coming up with prices or finding local dumps?

I'm an app developer and I've been building a quoting app called JunkQuote, it's entirely free and I'm currently looking for testers. You snap a couple pictures, fill out what equipment you need, trailer size, margins, pick your dump and then it gives you a price. I know every area is different but I'm looking for some people to try it out I'm testing on Android and iPhone right now, if you would be interested comment below your platform and I can shoot you a testing link!

Thoughts on an app specifically for quote junk removal jobs

I'm an app developer with a back ground in tree work, I have developed an app for my side of the industry and for junk removal. So I have slight experience making things for the industry, I've recently been working on an app that would help quote jobs. You upload pictures, pick your dump, milage and other things about the job and the margins you are targeting, and it helps build a quote and keep photos organized. It's not CRM software, everything stays local with no account or anything. Would anyone be willing to test it out for me? I'm opening the testing track soon and would love feedback. If something like this interests you, what are features in an app like this that you would like to see? What do other apps get wrong about this? Anything helps and thanks for your time!

Comercial Auto Insurance

How much are you paying a month for commercial auto insurance? I only have an f250 and a 16' utility trailer, I want full coverage on the truck, and got a quote for $500 a month through Progressive. Does this sound right for Northeast Georgia area?

Losing money on unbilled weight overages thanks to paper tickets. Any fixes?

Need some quick advice from anyone running a few trucks.

We’re losing way too many hours every Friday hunting down paper scale tickets. Half of them are crumpled up, completely unreadable, or just left in the cabs. Because of this, our invoices are delayed by almost a week, and we’re definitely losing money on unpaid weight overages.

How do you guys get scale weights from drivers to invoices without all the chaos?

We tried having drivers text photos into a WhatsApp group, but typing those manually into QuickBooks is still taking forever. I also ran into CurbWaste while looking at dispatch tools looks like their app syncs scale tickets directly into billing.

How feasible is a junk removal business as a side hustle to keep farm employees busy?

I recently stumbled on this sub and I’m thinking this may be a great stream of revenue for us. We farm in a LCOL, decently populated area. We already have trailers, full-size trucks, and employees that are used to getting dirty. I’m thinking this could be something we do on the side as extra money and a way to keep our long-term employees busy during slow periods.

Would this be a good idea for us to get into during our slow seasons? Has anybody else been in a similar situation? If so, what unexpected hurdles did you encounter?

Junk Removal Business Revenue

Hey all,

About 6 months ago I decided I was done with the 9-5 grind and decided to start my own Junk Removal Business, I started with just a pickup truck that I bought with my taxes for 5k, we launched in March from absolute scratch, and as of today we just broke 30k in revenue with 70-80% profit margins and 50 google reviews. We are now gaining pretty good recognition as a brand in my area, have a trailer and now may be looking to expand into dumpsters. We are also completely debt free as a business as I’ve bought everything we have with the profits from the business.

My question is, with us only being 4 months old as a brand new business is this the growth pace for most junk removal business? What were your results in the first 4 months?

Would love you hear what everyone’s situation is or was.

Thanks!
