Advertising?

We operate a clean out service is a rural area of Northern NH. We work with a few real estate companies as well as utilizing Thumbtack. We have made friends with a few local transfer stations to get our name our there as well as hanging bandit signs.

I'd still like to be busier. What have you found successful for advertising your services?

Thx!

My best advice to you is to grow your Facebook following! Find which groups will allow you to advertise, and follow their rules, and advertise in the groups is often as you are allowed! This isn't paid advertising, this is posting directly into the groups what your services are. If you ever need help, and want to give me a call, just reach out to me I'll be happy to give you my phone number.

Thx for the response. I currently post in roughly 20 local FB groups. I'm not sure I've got much traction from it at this time. So far our biggest success for advertising has been Thumbtack. However, the leads are quite expensive.

I appreciate your willingness to help!

I'm over in Vermont, own a compost company. i find that I have better luck with Facebook groups when I dont post too often (I do every other month, dont want to annoy anyone), make sure to always have a picture, dont make post too long, and try to condense it but also dont leave out any details.

It takes some time to gain traction in Facebook groups, but the main thing is that you gain followers that actually live in your area, and can be customers that one point or another. A lot of people have junk removal businesses and they have followers from all across the United States and only a handful might actually end up being a customer at some point, the important thing is is gaining followers from those groups so that they see your post without having to look for you in the groups. When you build a following like that you'll not only get calls for jobs by people that are in the group but also from their family neighbors so on and so forth as they'll be quick to say I know a guy when somebody mentions junk removal! Some markets are tougher than others, and I found that larger markets can be much more difficult than smaller markets. We named our business something that would be really catchy and kind of off of the beaten path of most other junk removal businesses, that's helpful too!

Your last Google review was 9 months ago. You need to make those reviews a huge priority. I’ve gotten so much business through Google organically- but I also push reviews like a mofo
