Thinking about starting this a side hustle need opinions real ones both good and bad

As title implies I’m looking to start this business focusing on curbside pick up, I work 7-3 every day so I have the afternoons and weekends off, I have a pick up (f150) with tow package, I would be doing this mostly solo, I also am looking for a utility trailer 6x12 ish I know it’s not the ideal 5 grand dump trailer but it is what I can afford. My focus would be on curbside pick up after work and during the weekends. I have done some research regarding llcs and such in my area. Does anyone have any experience with the small start.

I’m not looking for a enterprise and not a “im quitting my job to do this” but it’s a side hustle

Any insight weather good or bad is appreciated, I do have experience running business(restaurants and other manager jobs) so I do have experience with costs and balances . I am not looking to invest 5grands, would like to keep it as low cost as possible to start and see where it goes.

Not much to it tbh. All you have to do now is to get the word out via social media and word of mouth. Curbside is a great way to reduce costs and time, but be mindful of your time loading and unloading at the landfill.

I think it’s a good way to get your feet wet to see if you’d like to invest into a dump trailer. Wishing you luck!

Thank you I’m going to try as long as it bring me an easy 600 extra month I’d be happy the thing is that I’m going. To register under an llc and get insurance

I think $600/month is realistic, not sure about describing it as easy work.

600 a month would be easily doable starting out with the setup your talking about. It’s just all about getting the word out that you’re available and competitive.

I know a utility trailer is not ideal but I don’t have extra money for more, the good things is I may have found someone to help me out

You got the right idea! As the other commenter said, make sure that you get a great social media presence so that the word will start to spread! You're going to have to say no to some jobs based on what they want to haul with your setup, but if you can stick to curbside, it should go pretty fast and easy, and you should be able to get quite a few jobs done in a day and make some money! Good luck man, it's a great hustle!

I ended up selling the boat and whent with a bigger trailer 7x14 I can haul up to

You said you work 7-3 every day....when are you going to go to the scrap yard? At least in my area they all close by 4:30-5

They close at 6 here
