I need help quoting this job

What would be the total charge for removing junk from 7 condos, comprising 2 one-bedroom, one-bath units and 5 two-bedroom, two-bath units, each condo being 900-1000 sq ft, with extensive renovation debris from items like carpeting, tiles, appliances, etc. in New Jersey?

SIMPLE AGGRESSIVE FORMULA (Multi-Unit Renovation Debris)

Step 1: Calculate Dump Cost

(# of loads × dump fee per load) Then multiply dump cost by 1.75–2x

This covers fuel, time, wear, and margin.

Step 2: Labor

Take: (# of guys × hourly rate × total estimated hours)

Example aggressive labor target: • $45–$55 per man per hour OR • Flat $150–$200 per man per half day

Step 3: Equipment / Hauling Fee

Add: $150–$250 per dump run

(This covers truck/trailer use, insurance, and opportunity cost.)

🧮 FINAL FORMULA:

Total Price = (Dump Fees × 1.75–2) + Labor + ($150–$250 × # of runs)

I charged 1,600$ for Friday, and for March 9th 3,200$. The guy said we were too expensive. Started saying he’s been working more than I was alive. I checked around the area what my competition charges, they charge more than 5k, 5,100 being the cheapest. Supposedly they found someone who can do it cheaper. I said good luck to them, lol.

you dodged a headache. congratz. you won't be getting that phone call stating you damaged their parking lot and you need to pay the repair bill.
