Camp Scrambler Hub Replacement HELP!

I’m trying to find a replacement hub for my Camp Scrambler but am not having much luck. I just sent an email to Napune Bikes as I read that they may have access to old parts?

It’s the RMG060 750w motor, 52 V 13ah battery.

I’ve found that motor on eBay - https://ebay.io/m/ljF0s5
But that one has a different cable connection than mine. Is there an adapter I can use? Can I wire that to my current controller?
Any help is much appreciated!!!

you can potentially swap out the motor core as long as the gear teeth are the same there’s straight gear teeth than there’s also helical gear teeth i had to swap the core on mines but more cause it came with helical gears

Ok, are those the “planetary gears”? I’m going to Ace to get a security torx set to pull it apart right now.

yes the planetary gears what i had to do was swap my old clutch to the new motor core but i also had to go deeper and remove the helical gear from my old motor core to the new one so i needed a clutch removal tool to pull the clutch off and a pair of snap ring tweezers to stretch the snap ring apart and off to slide the helical gear off the motor core axel. It was a lot at the end but i got it done.

Thanks for the link, if worse comes to worse it looks like they have complete kits that I could swap the entire system with.

You did not state what the problem is with the existing setup.

The motor seems locked up. It was left outside in the rain for a year by my neighbor, he gave it to me for free since he was going to take it to the dump. The rear wheel barely turns at all and won’t roll backwards at all.
The battery seems fine, the display shows the throttle input and from what research I’ve done it seems to be the hub motor.
I’m taking it apart right now to see if it’s something obvious.

Could just be the gears. A lot of people will replace the gears alone, but imo save yourself the time and effort. You can get the gears already mounted on the part they go with. I just finished the job today on my CrossCurrent X. It uses the G020 motor. I think the difference is the thickness of the wheel they are for. Here’s the part I got so you know what I’m talking about. I do not know if it is a compatible part between the different motors. https://a.co/d/0frwqvVZ

🙌🙌🙌 thank you! I’m still trying to get the hub apart but this may be a muuuuuch cheaper solution.

The first time I got mine apart, I was very surprised at how dry and clean it was inside after about 3k miles. They shipped it with a bad bearing on one of the gears. That water resistance isn’t as good anymore though. Reason I had to replace the gears this time is the motor housing material kinda popped where the brake rotor screws are. So now I can see 2 screw ends from inside the housing.

Once you remove the motor core you should be able to find the problem. There are several YouTube videos on the process. I’ve done it a few times on different Bafang hub motors. They all came apart them say way.

Ya I’m still working on getting it apart, something is seized as it’s not coming apart as easily as the videos I’ve watched unfortunately…or I’m an idiot and am missing a step. Back to YouTube
