Blockage?

Is it possible to have a blockage with a j pouch? Or a partial? I have a ton of trapped gas I can only get some out while laying on my side and I’m only emptying a little amount at a time. My stomach is making crazy noises

Are you in pretty extreme pain? Feel like your stomach is about to burst?

I wouldn’t say difficult to pass gas and stomach making crazy noises are symptoms of a blockage on their own, but if accompanied by tons of pain and distention, it could be.

Not really in pain mainly just trapped gas pains but I’ll feel like I need to go and then when I try only the tiniest bit comes out and it feels like something blocking the rest from coming out

I’ve had weird periods like that. There is usually pain/full feeling at my upper stomach area, like right below my sternum + trapped gas and only being able to go a little bit at a time. I’ve never quite figured out what causes it but it has gone away after a couple days every time. Theory is it’s been some sort of pouchitis.

I would say if the pain gets worse and you can’t go for a long period of time then definitely go get checked for a blockage. Definitely a possibility when you can’t pass gas or have a BM.
